Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a common chronic disease characterized by hepatocyte steatosis, which excludes alcohol, drugs and other definite liver damage-related factors. It has been reported that OTUB1 serves a significant role in the regulation of glucose and lipid metabolism. The present study aimed to investigate the molecular mechanism underlying the effect of OTUB1 on regulating NAFLD.

Background: Microcalcifications persist even if a patient with breast cancer achieves pathologic complete response (pCR) as confirmed by surgery after neoadjuvant treatment (NAT). In practice, surgeons tend to remove all the microcalcifications. This study aimed to explore the correlation between changes in the extent of microcalcification after NAT and pathological tumor response and compare the accuracy of mammography (MG) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in predicting the size of residual tumors.

The clinical characteristics and risk factors for testicular/epididymal involvement in 73 children with immunoglobulin A vasculitis (IgAV) who were admitted to our hospital between January 2012 and November 2022 were reviewed. The demographic data, laboratory parameters, and follow-up data of the patients were compared to those of 146 males without testicular/epididymal involvement. A logistic regression analysis was performed to determine the variables associated with testicular/epididymal involvement.
