During the progression of renal cell carcinoma (RCC), tumor growth, metastasis and treatment response heterogeneity are regulated by both the tumor itself and the tumor microenvironment (TME). The aim of the present study was to investigate the role of the TME in RCC and construct a crosstalk network for clear cell RCC (ccRCC). An additional aim was to evaluate whether TNF receptor superfamily member 1A (TNFRSF1A) is a potential therapeutic target for ccRCC.

Methods: The study population consisted of patients undergoing ESD before implementation of integrated management and those undergoing ESD by the same pool of surgeons after implementation of integrated management.

Prognosis of Lung Transplantation in Patients with Acute Exacerbations of Interstitial Lung Disease: A Meta-Analysis Based on Cohort Studies.

Purpose: This meta-analysis aimed to examine the prognosis of patients with acute exacerbation of interstitial lung disease (AE-ILD) treated with lung transplantation compared to those with stable interstitial lung disease (ILD).

Methods: We conducted a detailed search in PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and the Cochrane Library, with the primary outcomes being overall survival (OS), acute cellular rejection (ACR), primary graft dysfunction (PGD), and length of stay (LOS).

Results: Five cohort studies were included in this meta-analysis, with 183 patients enrolled in the AE-ILD group and 337 patients in the stable-ILD group.

Methods: We searched the PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, and Cochrane Library databases for all cohort studies comparing the incidence of hematologic malignancies in non-IBD populations with that in IBD patients, and we extracted relevant data from January 2000 to June 2023 for meta-analysis.

[Vacuum sealing drainage as an adjuvant treatment of severe scrotal infectious disease: Clinical analysis of 9 cases].

Objective: To evaluate the clinical effectiveness of vacuum sealing drainage (VSD) in the treatment of severe scrotal infectious diseases and to summarize the practical experience obtained during its implementation.

Rationale: Post-transplant lymphoproliferative disorder (PTLD) is a well-recognized, but uncommon complication in patients with kidney transplantation, which poses challenges in diagnosis and poor prognosis due to its low incidence and nonspecific clinical manifestations. As a routine follow-up examination method for kidney transplant patients, ultrasound (US) plays a significant role in the diagnosis of PTLD. Therefore, it is critical to evaluate the ultrasonic characteristics of PTLD in transplanted kidney patients for early detection and diagnosis.
