The study focused on creating a novel and environmentally friendly nanocatalyst using cellulose (Cell), β-Cyclodextrin (BCD), graphene oxide (GO), CuO, and FeO.The nanocatalyst was prepared by embedding GO and CuO into Cell-BCD hydrogel, followed by the in-situ preparation of FeO magnetic nanoparticles to magnetize the nanocomposite. The effectiveness of this nanocatalyst was evaluated in the one-pot, three-component symmetric Hantzsch reaction for synthesizing 1,4-dihydropyridine derivatives with high yield under mild conditions.

A simplified mathematical model has been developed for understanding combined effects of surface roughness, viscosity variation and couple stresses on the squeeze film behaviour of a flat and a curved circular plate in the presence of transverse magnetic field. The Stokes (1966) couple stress fluid model is included to account for the couple stresses arising due to the presence of microstructure additives in the lubricant. In the context of Christensen's (1969) stochastic theory for the lubrication of rough surfaces, two types of one-dimensional roughness patterns (radial and azimuthal) are considered.

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) have been linked to abnormal expression and regulation in a number of diseases, including cancer. Recent studies have concentrated on miRNA Let-7e's significance in precision medicine for cancer screening and diagnosis as well as its prognostic and therapeutic potential. Differential let-7e levels in bodily fluids have the possibility to enable early detection of cancer utilizing less-invasive techniques, reducing biopsy-related risks.

Oropharyngeal cancer, a subset of head and neck cancer, is increasingly recognized as a unique clinical entity primarily influenced by high-risk human papillomavirus (HPV) infections, particularly HPV-16. This review delves into the viral life cycle of HPV-16 and its interactions with host cells, with a specific focus on the crucial roles played by the viral oncoproteins E6 and E7. These oncoproteins drive cellular proliferation by targeting critical tumor suppressor proteins like p53 and Rb, resulting in uncontrolled cell growth and genomic instability.

In this study, we developed a unique adsorbent known as extractant-impregnated resin (EIR) by surface impregnation of XAD-11600 amberlite resin with the Vesavin ligand. This resin demonstrated exceptional selectivity for the absorption of lead (Pb) ions from aqueous solutions. The ability of EIR to remove lead from polluted water was studied as a function of experimental parameters, including the kinetics, equilibrium, and thermodynamics of the adsorption process.

Various studies examine the significance of bio-materials flow in physiological procedures to explore the cure of diagnosed symptoms of disease appearing during movement in a human physiological system. To illustrate the characteristics of physiological liquids various non-Newtonian models have been proposed, but yet no such single liquid model is exploited which describes all the properties of nonlinear behaving liquids.

: the purpose of this theoretical study was to analyze the heat transfer in the fluid-particle suspension model under the effects of a porous medium, magnetic field, Hall effects, and slip boundary conditions in a convergent channel with the addition of electrokinetic phenomena. The Darcy-Brinkman (non-Darcy porous medium) model was used to assess the effects of the porous medium. : the rheological equations of both models were transformed into a dimensionless form to obtain the exact solutions of the fluid and particle phase velocities, pressure gradient, volumetric flow rate, stream function, temperature distribution, and heat-transfer rate.

Currently, novel technologies are highly prerequisite as an outstanding approach in the field of photocatalytic water splitting (PWS). Previous research has shown that copolymerization technology could improve the photocatalytic performance of pristine carbon nitride (CN) more efficiently. As this technology further allows the charge carrier recombination constraints, due to novel monomer-incorporated highly abundant surface-active sites of metals in polymeric carbon nitride-based heterojunction.

When molten magma solidifies, basalt fiber (BF) is produced as a byproduct. Due to its remaining pollutants that could affect the environment, it is regarded as a waste product. To determine the compressive strength (CS) and tensile strength (TS) of basalt fiber reinforced concrete (BFRC), this study will develop empirical models using gene expression programming (GEP), Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and Extreme Gradient Boosting (XG Boost).

In this study, we explored the electronic and thermoelectric (TE) properties of the Na-based Quaternary Heusler Alloys (QHAs) NaHfXGe (X = Co, Rh, Ir) using density functional theory (DFT). We performed the spin-polarized DFT calculations at the general gradient approximation (GGA) level and confirmed the ground state non-magnetic configuration of NaHfXGe. The mechanical and thermodynamical stabilities are analyzed and discussed to validate the stability by calculating the elastic constant and phonon dispersion curve.

Despite the development of numerous therapies, cancer remains an incurable disease due to various factors, including drug resistance produced by cancer cells. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) regulate different target genes involved in biological and pathological processes, including cancer, through post-transcriptional mechanisms. The development of drug resistance in cancer treatment is a significant barrier because it decreases drug uptake, cellular transport, and changes in proteins involved in cell proliferation, survival, and apoptotic pathways.

Over the last decade, paper-based biosensing has attracted considerable attention in numerous fields due to several advantages of them. To elaborate, using paper as a substrate of sensing approaches can be considered an affordable sensing approach owing to low cost of paper, and alongside that, the ability to operate without requiring external equipment. In many cases, cost-effective fabrication techniques such as screen printed and drop casting can be supposed as other benefits of these platforms.

Treatment with chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells indicated remarkable clinical responses with liquid cancers such as hematological malignancies; however, their therapeutic efficacy faced with many challenges in solid tumors due to severe toxicities, antigen evasion, restricted and limited tumor tissue trafficking and infiltration, and, more importantly, immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment (TME) factors that impair the CAR T-cell function adds support survival of cancer stem cells (CSCs), responsible for tumor recurrence and resistance to current cancer therapies. Therefore, in-depth identification of TME and development of more potent CAR platform targeting CSCs may overcome the raised challenges, as presented in this review. We also discuss recent stemness-based innovations in CAR T-cell production and engineering to improve their efficacy in vivo, and finally, we propose solutions and strategies such as oncolytic virus-based therapy and combination therapy to revive the function of CAR T-cell therapy, especially in TME of solid tumors in future.

2H MoTe (molybdenum ditelluride) has generated significant interest because of its superconducting, nonvolatile memory, and semiconducting of new materials, and it has a large range of electrical properties. The combination of transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs) and two dimensional (2D) materials like hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) in lateral heterostructures offers a unique platform for designing and engineering novel electronic devices. We report the fabrication of highly conductive interfaces in crystalline ionic liquid-gated (ILG) field-effect transistors (FETs) consisting of a few layers of MoTe/h-BN heterojunctions.
