Background And Aims: COVID-19 patients might be admitted to the hospital based on their clinical manifestations or to the intensive care unit (ICU) due to the severity of their symptoms or critical situation. Our main objective was to investigate clinical and demographic factors influencing COVID-19 patients' admission to the ICU and length of stay (LOS) using extracted data from the hospital information systems in Iran.
Methods: The data of hospitalized patients with confirmed COVID-19 were retrieved from the health information system of Imam Khomeini Hospital Complex, Tehran, Iran between March 2020 and February 2022.

Key Clinical Message: The co-occurrence of myasthenia gravis (MG) and lichen planus (LP) is a rare phenomenon, with only 13 cases reported in the English literature between 1971 and 2024. Patients with MG or LP, regardless of the thymoma status, require close monitoring for other autoimmune diseases.
Abstract: Myasthenia gravis (MG) is an uncommon autoimmune disease, resulting in fatigable muscle weakness in the ocular, bulbar, and respiratory muscles, as well as muscles of the extremities.
Aim: The aim of this study was to evaluate the short-term and long-term effects of routine repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) on the sleep duration, depressive symptoms, and quality of life of patients with treatment-resistant depression (TRD).
Methods: In this prospective cohort study, 25 participants with TRD were assessed using the Insomnia Severity Index (ISI) and four sleep duration components of the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). Depression severity was measured with Hamilton's Depression Rating Scale (HDRS) and Beck's Depression Inventory (BDI-II), and patient-perceived quality of life with the 36-Item Short-Form Survey (SF-36).

Over the past years, stem cell technology was heralded as a significant breakthrough of the century in scrutinizing the intricacies of human body biology and discovering different therapeutic approaches. Recently, adipose tissue, as a suitable source of harvesting mesenchymal stem cells, has attracted the attention of many researchers in the field of regenerative medicine. Adipose tissue-derived mesenchymal stem cells can self-renew and differentiate into different types of cells such as adipocytes, chondrocytes, and osteoblasts.

Purpose: Increased nitric oxide (NO) synthesis and NF-kB activation have been shown as critical players in the pathophysiology of vincristine-induced peripheral neuropathy. Consistently, neural nitric oxide synthase (nNOS) inhibitors alleviated the neuropathic pain. Previous studies demonstrated that aripiprazole is capable of modulating NO synthesis and also has been reported its modulatory effect on NF-kB activity.

Aims: Clinical use of doxorubicin, an effective chemotherapeutic agent, has limited uses due to dose-dependent cardiac toxicity. It has been supposed that the production of free radicals and calcium ions overload can lead to cardiac toxicity. Magnesium is a cardioprotective drug which inhibits lipid peroxidation and reducing myocardial apoptosis.
