Tracking and eradicating in the periprosthetic microenvironment are critical for preventing periprosthetic joint infection (PJI), yet effective strategies remain elusive. Here, we report an implant nanoparticle coating that locoregionally yields bactericidal super chimeric antigen receptor macrophages (CAR-MΦs) to prevent PJI. We demonstrate that the plasmid-laden nanoparticle from the coating can introduce -targeted CAR genes and caspase-11 short hairpin RNA (CASP11 shRNA) into macrophage nuclei to generate super CAR-MΦs in mouse models.

Methylmalonic acidemia with homocystinuria (MMA-cblC) is an autosomal recessive genetic disorder of organic acid metabolism. Shandong, a northern province of China, has a significantly high incidence of about 1/4,000, suggesting a high carrying rate among the local population. The current study established a PCR technique involving high-resolution melting (HRM) to screen for carriers based on hotspot mutation analysis to further develop a preventive strategy to reduce the local incidence of this rare disease.

Observation studies have postulated that atopic eczema is associated with a risk of inflammatory bowel disease in the East Asian population; however, this association does not obviate the biases resulting from confounding effects and reverse causation. This study aimed to determine whether this association is causal in the East Asian population using a bidirectional two-sample Mendelian randomization design. Independent genetic variants obtained from public genome-wide association studies for atopic eczema (4296 cases, 163 807 controls) were extracted to estimate the causal effects on inflammatory bowel disease (2824 cases, 3719 controls) and its two main conditions: Crohn's disease (1690 cases, 3719 controls) and ulcerative colitis (1134 cases, 3719 controls).

Objective: To analyze the application effect of exercise rehabilitation therapy based on data mining in the prevention and treatment of knee osteoarthritis.
Methods: Based on clinical data mining technology, that is, using complex network technology and association rules, the medical records of 1612 patients with KOA in the Department of Rheumatology and Immunology of our hospital were retrospectively analyzed, and they were divided into groups according to whether they used exercise rehabilitation therapy ( = 786), and the control treatment group ( = 826), the curative effect, the improvement of inflammatory factors and immune factors, the visual analogue scale (VAS), the knee joint function score (Lysholm), and the quality of life (WOMAC) scale were compared between the two groups score, analyze the relationship between VAS and Lysholm score and prognosis quality of life, and compare the recurrence within 12 months between the two groups.
