This study presents a novel approach to synthesizing silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) using a solution combustion synthesis (SCS) method with Catharanthus roseus (C. roseus) leaf extract. The NPs were thoroughly characterized through X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Energy dispersive X-ray (EDX), Transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and Selected area electron diffraction (SAED), elucidating their crystal structure.

A nanocomposite of (2-aminoethyl)piperazine ligand substituted with zinc(II) tetra carboxylic acid phthalocyanine (ZnTEPZCAPC) and MWCNTs was constructed and employed to develop an electrochemical sensor with outstanding sensitivity and a low detection limit. The macrocyclic complex ZnTEPZCAPC was first synthesized and then employed for the electrochemical determination of the antipsychotic drug promazine (PMZ). The as-prepared ZnTEPZCAPC and MWCNT nanocomposite was characterized using different techniques, such as Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), UV-visible spectroscopy (UV-Vis), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA).

Biodiesel represents a biodegradable, environmentally friendly, and renewable alternative to fossil fuels. Despite more than three decades of research, significant obstacles still hinder the widespread production of biodiesel. This current review elucidates both the potential and the existing challenges associated with homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysts in catalyzing biodiesel production, with a particular focus on alkali analogues, alkaline earth metal oxides, and titania-based catalysts.

In this work, we reported the successful synthesis of novel Ag/TiO /CuFe O ternary nanocomposite by hydrothermal technique by using TiO /CuFe O binary nanocomposite precursor that was also prepared by hydrothermal treatment by using TiO nanoparticles and CuFe O nanoparticles synthesized via sol-gel method. The synthesized nanomaterials were accessed for their morphological, structural, and optical properties. X-ray diffraction (XRD) study reveals the formation of pure Ag/TiO /CuFe O ternary nanocomposite in which the Ag, TiO , and CuFe O are in anatase, spinal, and cubic crystal phases, respectively.
