Background: Imperatorin is a naturally occurring furocoumarin derivative found in traditional Chinese medicine Angelica dahurica for its anticancer, antihypertensive, and antidiabetic properties. Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a global health issue, characterized by a high prevalence, significant morbidity and mortality, and a range of related complications.

Objective: This study aims to investigate the protective effects of imperatorin treatment and the specific underlying mechanisms in progressive CKD.

Prescription patterns of granulocyte colony-stimulating factors in patients with breast cancer: A real-world study.

Background And Objectives: Myelosuppressive chemotherapy is effective for breast cancer but carries a potential risk of febrile neutropenia (FN). Clinical practice guidelines have recommended prophylaxis with granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) to reduce the incidence of FN in patients receiving chemotherapy. We aimed to examine the use of G-CSFs for primary prophylaxis for FN and to see whether it follows the guidelines.

Improving the Efficiency of Medication Reconciliation in Two Taiwanese Hospitals by Using the Taiwan National Health Insurance PharmaCloud Medication System.

Purpose: Medication reconciliation (MedRec) is a process to ensure complete and accurate communication of patient medication information throughout care transitions to prevent medication errors. Hospitals in Taiwan have stride to implement a universal protocol for MedRec. To establish a feasible protocol indigenously, the World Health Organization (WHO) protocol was incorporated with the Taiwan National Health Insurance (NHI) PharmaCloud patient medication profile.

Background: Sociocultural factors play critical roles in the mental health of marriage-based immigrant women. However, the effect of bi-dimensional acculturation ("adaptation to host culture" and "maintenance of heritage culture") and social support on perinatal depression across time was unknown among them.

Objective: To examine the effect of bi-dimensional acculturation and social support on perinatal depression among marriage-based immigrant women in Taiwan.

Case Report: We report the case of a 31-year-old pregnant female, G2P0A1, with a history of hyperthyroidism under medical control. The patient received regular prenatal care, with no specific findings in the Level II ultrasound at 21 weeks of gestation.

Objective: To study prenatal diagnosis of congenital Treacher Collins syndrome, an etiology of craniofacial abnormalities.

Case Report: We present a case of fetal craniofacial abnormalities identified by antepartum sonography screening in the third trimester (28 weeks); features of micrognathia, hypoplastic zygomatic arches and bilateral low-set microtia were detected. Due to the unknown severity of the craniofacial abnormalities and poor prognosis, the parents decided to terminate the fetus after through counselling.

Trio studies based on chromosome microarray analysis (CMA) and Sanger's genetic analysis did not detect a pathologic variant of the FOXE3 gene.

The psychometric properties of the Bidimensional Acculturation Scale for Marriage-Based Immigrant Women in Taiwan.

Introduction: Marriage-based immigrant women are increasing around the world. Although bi-dimensional acculturation is important for immigrant women's health, the existing scales have mainly been developed for immigrant women in Western countries and hence some items may not be suitable for Asian contexts. Thus, we developed and evaluated the Bidimensional Acculturation Scale for Marriage-Based Immigrant Women (BAS-MBIW) in Taiwan.
