In recent years, the use of Artificial Intelligence for emotion recognition has attracted much attention. The industrial applicability of emotion recognition is quite comprehensive and has good development potential. This research uses voice emotion recognition technology to apply it to Chinese speech emotion recognition.

Anticancer and Antioxidant Activities of the Root Extract of the Carnivorous Pitcher Plant .

The carnivorous pitcher plant exhibits many ethnobotanical uses, including the treatments of type 2 diabetes and tuberculosis-like symptoms. In this study, we prepared different extracts from the leaves (pitchers), stems, and roots of and investigated their antioxidant and anticancer properties. To evaluate the extraction efficiency, we individually used different solvents, namely methanol, ethanol, acetone, and distilled water, for extract preparations.

The first purpose of present study is to evaluate the impacts of telecommuter's organizational citizenship behavior.

The Effect of a Tele-Health Intervention Program on Home-Dwelling Persons with Dementia or MCI and on Their Primary Caregivers during the Stay-at-Home-Order Period in the COVID-19 Pandemic Outbreak: Evidence from Taiwan.

Background: The Taiwanese government implemented a stay-at-home order that restricted all community-based health promotion activities for the elderly by shutting down all community care centers from May 2021 to August 2021 to control the spread of COVID-19. Community-based dementia care centers were barely able to provide dementia care services during that period.

Methods: The data used in this study were collected from a community-based dementia care center that was able to continue their dementia care services through a Tele-Health intervention program.

The Value of Preoperative Local Symptoms in Prognosis of Upper Tract Urothelial Carcinoma After Radical Nephroureterectomy: A Retrospective, Multicenter Cohort Study.

Purpose: We aimed to evaluate the impact of preoperative local symptoms on prognosis after radical nephroureterectomy in patients with upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC).

Methods: This retrospective study consisted of 2,662 UTUC patients treated at 15 institutions in Taiwan from 1988 to 2019. Clinicopathological data were retrospectively collected for analysis by the Taiwan UTUC Collaboration Group.

Re-figuration of suffering: Transitional phenomena of people living with schizophrenia in group analysis.

This study examined how people living with schizophrenia recognize their lived experiences in free-floating group discussions. Interpretative phenomenological and group analyses were employed to collect qualitative data from 14 patients. The identified superordinate theme was "re-figuration of suffering" including: "being treated as an object," "encountering the self through others," and "returning to the self.

Psychological distress among immigrant women who divorced: Resilience as a mediator.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate relationships among the demands of immigration, resilience, and psychological distress in divorced immigrant women, and determine the mediating effects of resilience on the relationship between demands of immigration and psychological distress.

Design: The cross-sectional study included 117 women who had immigrated and married Taiwanese men but later got divorced.

Methods: The Chinese health questionnaire-12 scale, the resilience scale-Chinese version, and the demands of immigration (DI) scale were used to measure in this study.

Background: Team-based learning (TBL) was studied in several preclinical settings, but evidence for its effectiveness in community nursing education is scant. A community health care nursing course was developed, and nursing students engaged in TBL to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 3.

Purpose: This study aimed to examine the effect of TBL model integration on students' learning attitude, community understanding, and community care competence for achieving SDG 3 and determine the extent to which the TBL model altered students' nursing competence for providing community health care.

Do Personality Traits Matter? Exploring Anti-drug Behavioral Patterns in a Computer-Assisted Situated Learning Environment.

Drug abuse has been and continues to be, a common social issue worldwide, yet the efficiency of widely adopted sweeping speech for anti-drug campaigns has proven inefficient. To provide students with a safe and efficient learning situation related to drug refusal skills, we used a novel approach rooted in a serious learning game and concept map during a brief extracurricular period to help students understand drugs and their negative effects. The proposed game-based situational learning system allowed all students to participate simultaneously and individually in multiple scenarios of drug temptation posed by peers and classmates to practice responding and refusing drugs in school and community settings.

The causal link between circular economy and economic growth in EU-25.

Actively promoting circular economy (CE) is one of the key means of global sustainable development. The purpose of this study is to analyze the causal relationship between CE and economic growth using data from EU-25 countries from 2010 to 2018. The selected CE indicators included municipal waste recycling rate, CE-related investment, municipal waste generation per capita, circularity rate, and trade in recyclable raw materials.

Investigating Factors Influencing Nurses' Behavioral Intention to Use Mobile Learning: Using a Modified Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology Model.

The purpose of this study was to develop and empirically test a model for predicting the key factors affecting nurses' behavioral intention to use mobile learning (m-learning). We explored behavioral intention from users' perspectives by applying an extended unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) model with the addition of information quality, system quality, technostress, and satisfaction. We conducted a survey of the district and regional hospitals in central Taiwan.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the correlations that levels of addiction to smartphones, social media, and online games have with levels of real-life and online interpersonal interactions among adolescents. In this cross-sectional study of adolescents in a college in Taiwan, structured questionnaire surveys were used to collect information. The questionnaire included the following: demographic background, Real Interpersonal Interaction Scale (RIIS), Internet Interpersonal Interaction Scale (IIIS), Smartphone Application-Based Addiction Scale (SABAS), Bergen Social Media Addiction Scale (BSMAS), and Internet Gaming Disorder Scale-Short Form (IGDS9-SF).

Elderly Caregiving Quality Improvement: A Pilot Study of the Burdens of Vietnamese Caregivers in Taiwan.

Taiwan is expected to reach super-aged status by 2026, leading to an increased demand for elderly caregiving services. Low local unemployment and a dwindling working-age population mean the island's care system relies heavily on female foreign domestic workers (FDWs) from Southeast Asian neighbors such as Vietnam to satisfy labor shortages. Although suggested by anecdotal evidence, limited research has been conducted on the link between the shortfall in FDW qualifications, training, preparedness, and expertise and their employment stressors.

The Study of Learning Computer Programming for Students with Medical Fields of Specification-An Analysis via Structural Equation Modeling.

In this study, the authors constructed structural equation models in order to determine the relationship between students' learning attitudes and their computational thinking perspectives and programming empowerment. The purpose is to understand students' perceived competence to use computational thinking effectively, along with their computer programming learning attitude regarding the C++ programming language for one semester (2 hours per week, 36 total learning hours). A total of 495 students specializing in the medical field participated in the study.

With the increasing promotion of entrepreneurship in Taiwan's universities and the establishment of departments of innovation or entrepreneurship management, it has become an emerging trend to encourage college students to become entrepreneurs or participate in entrepreneurial competitions during their undergraduate years. The Internet has stimulated the development and widespread application of new business models and has created a large number of entrepreneurial opportunities. Universities engaged in digital entrepreneurship education over the past have hardly designed a curriculum to teach the content of digital entrepreneurship.

Most studies consider that COVID-19 lockdowns lead to mental health problems for females, while the effect of role change on female mental health has been overlooked. This study aimed to explore multiple facets of the risk of mental distress in a sample of Chinese married females aged 21-50 during the COVID-19 lockdowns. A cross-sectional study was carried out with 613 valid responses from married females in the Guangdong province.
