[LONG-TERM RESULTS OF TREATMENT OF PATIENTS WITH VARICOSE DISEASE AFTER USING ASVAL TECHNIQUE].

The goal of this research is to evaluate the effectiveness of using the ASVAL technique in patients with varicose disease of lower limbs. The authors evaluated the results of treatment and the dynamics of life indicators of 84 patients with varicose disease of lower limbs after using the ASVAL technique. The age of operated patients varied from 18 to 57 years, 22 (26,2%) were male and 62 (73,8%) were female.

Management of Cough in Patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease: Results of the Multicenter Randomized Placebo-Controlled Clinical Trial.

Objective: The aim: Is to determine the actual energy costs of servicemen on the qualification course of special operations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to substantiate the adequate nutritional and energy value of their diet.

Patients And Methods: Materials and methods: The actual average daily energy consumption of 85 servicemen of the qualification course (hereinafter - Q-course) of special operations of AF of Ukraine was determined by time-table and instrumental methods. By laboratory, calculation and questionnaire methods, the compensatory possibilities of their actual nutrition were assessed.

Phenotypic and genotypic characterization of antibiotic resistance in military hospital-associated bacteria from war injuries in the Eastern Ukraine conflict between 2014 and 2020.

Background: Infections from the recent conflict in Ukraine have been poorly investigated.

Aim: To describe the phenotypic and genotypic mechanisms of antibiotic resistance in pathogens associated with war injuries in the Ukraine conflict.

Methods: This report describes a retrospective multi-centre microbiological survey conducted in four Ukrainian military hospitals between 2014 and 2020.

[The role of diastolic transthoracic stress echocardiography with incremental workload in the evaluation of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction: indications, methodology, interpretation. Expert consensus developed under the auspices of the National Medical Research Center of Cardiology, Society of Experts in Heart Failure (SEHF), and Russian Association of Experts in Ultrasound Diagnosis in Medicine (REUDM)].

Diagnosis of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) is associated with certain difficulties since many patients with HFpEF have a slight left ventricular diastolic dysfunction and normal filling pressure at rest. Diagnosis of HFpEF is improved by using diastolic transthoracic stress-echocardiography with dosed exercise (or diastolic stress test), which allows detection of increased filling pressure during the exercise. The present expert consensus explains the requirement for using the diastolic stress test in diagnosing HFpEF from clinical and pathophysiological standpoints; defines indications for the test with a description of its methodological aspects; and addresses issues of using the test in special patient groups.

Safety and immunogenicity of an rAd26 and rAd5 vector-based heterologous prime-boost COVID-19 vaccine in two formulations: two open, non-randomised phase 1/2 studies from Russia.

Background: We developed a heterologous COVID-19 vaccine consisting of two components, a recombinant adenovirus type 26 (rAd26) vector and a recombinant adenovirus type 5 (rAd5) vector, both carrying the gene for severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) spike glycoprotein (rAd26-S and rAd5-S). We aimed to assess the safety and immunogenicity of two formulations (frozen and lyophilised) of this vaccine.

[Bilateral impact of cardiorenal relationships in the nephrotic syndrome.].

To study and analyze the cardiorenal relationships in nephrotic syndrome, taking into account sex differences. A total of 272 patients with nephrotic syndrome (NS) aged 16 to 65 years were examined. All patients underwent general clinical examination, electro-and echocardiography, assessment of peripheral and biochemical blood counts.

Cranial nerve monitoring in endoscopic endonasal surgery of skull base tumors (observing of 23 cases).

Background: Preservation of anatomic integrity and function of the cranial nerves during the removal of skull base tumors is one of the most challenging procedures in endoscopic endonasal surgery. It is possible to use intraoperative mapping and identification of the cranial nerves in order to facilitate their preservation.The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of intraoperative trigger electromyography in prevention of iatrogenic damage to the cranial nerves.

[Hybrid vascular interventions on the peripheral arteries in the treatment of critical ischemia in elderly patients.].

Peripheral arterial disease has a huge contribution to the overall mortality rate of the population, especially in the group of patients of old and old age. The likelihood of an adverse outcome is increased against a background with other possible nosological forms. In particular, the combination of peripheral atherosclerosis with diabetes mellitus very often manifests itself in the form of a multilevel lesion of the lower limb arteries.

[The nephrogenic anemia: progression in comprehension of pathophysiology and a potential of the new approaches to safe therapy.].

The normocytic normochromic anemia is one of signs of progressing chronic kidney diseases mainly related to absolute or relative decreasing of production of erythropoietin and iron deficiency. The last decade discovery of hepcidin (regulator of iron homeostasis) and also various factors and signaling pathways regulating its metabolism the pathophysiology of anemia under chronic kidney diseases is understood significantly better. As a result, dramatically increased research concerning development of potentially new pharmaceuticals that can be used for treatment of kidney anemia with more or less efficiency and safety.

Predictive value of the complex magnetocardiographic index in patients with intermediate pretest probability of chronic coronary artery disease: results of a two-center study.

Introduction: The aim of this paper is to investigate the predictive value of the new integrated magnetocardiographic (MCG) index (CI) in the diagnosis of coronary artery disease (CAD) in patients with suspected CAD with intermediate pretest probability of the disease and uninformative results of routine tests.

Patients And Methods: The study was carried out in the Clinic of Cardiology of the Main Military Clinical Hospital of Ukraine, Kiev (clinic 1), and in the Second Medical Clinic of the 'Katholisches Klinikum Essen', Germany (clinic 2).The main group (group 1) included 89 patients without a history of myocardial infarction.
