Mice are one of the most common biological models for laboratory use. Introduction And Importance: Introduction and importance: Bone tumors of the foot constitute 3 % of all bone tumors, within these, the location in the talus constitutes between 8 and 23 % of bone tumors. Within the oncological management of these lesions, preservation surgery has had a great boom in the last 10 years, however, the use of massive structural allograft is not a conventional surgery and there is little literature on its use, which is why we consider important to document clinical cases.

Case Presentation: we document 2 clinical cases of bone tumor in the talus that were surgically managed with tumor resection plus reconstruction with total and partial talus allograft.

With the development of 3D bioprinting and the creation of innovative biocompatible materials, several new approaches have brought advantages to patients and surgical teams. Increasingly more bone defects are now treated using 3D-bioprinted prostheses and implementing new solutions relies on the ability of engineers and medical teams to identify methods of anchoring 3D-printed prostheses and to reveal the potential influence of bioactive materials on surrounding tissues. In this paper, we described why limb salvage surgery based on 3D bioprinting is a reliable and effective alternative to amputations, and why this approach is considered the new standard in modern medicine.

Current efforts to vascularize organoids are struggling to achieve well-defined vascular networks, mimicking the intricate hierarchy observed in vivo, which restricts the physiological relevance particularly for studying tumor progression and response to therapies targeting the tumor vasculature. An innovative vascularized patient-derived tumor organoids (PDTOs)-on-a-chip with hierarchical, tumor-specific microvasculature is presented, providing a versatile platform to explore tumor-vascular dynamics and antivascular drug efficacy.
