Since the discovery of lanthanides, the expanding range of applications and the growing demand for lanthanides in different aspects of life have escalated their dispersion in the environment, raising concerns about their impact on the living world. This review explores the interaction between lanthanides and different groups of living organisms (bacteria, algae, lichens, plants, invertebrates, and low vertebrates), reflecting the current state of scientific knowledge. We have aimed to provide a comprehensive overview of relevant studies, highlight existing gaps, and suggest potential areas for future research to enhance the understanding of this topic.

The morphological ontogeny of Oribatula pannonica Willmann, 1949 is described and illustrated. Most prodorsal setae of juveniles are of medium size, and bothridial seta is clavate. The larva has 11 pairs of gastronotal setae, including h2, most are of medium size and barbed, nymphs have 13 pairs (p3 absent), of which most are short and smooth.

Ditrău Alkaline Massif is one of the few syenitic Massifs in Europe subjected to mining exploration in the past, located in the Eastern Carpathians, Romania. The heterogenous petrography includes acid to ultrabasic rocks such as syenites, hornblendites, and diorites, making it the defining feature of the Massif. In this study, we analyze the river bed sediments of two rivers, Ditrău and Jolotca, draining the Ditrău Alkaline Massif to determine their geochemical composition, with particular interest in Rare Earth Elements.

The main goal of this systematic review on the flavonol class secondary metabolite quercetin is to evaluate and summarize the existing research on quercetin's potential health benefits, therapeutic properties, and effectiveness in disease prevention and treatment. In addition to evaluating quercetin's potential for drug development with fewer side effects and lower toxicity, this type of review attempts to collect scientific evidence addressing quercetin's roles as an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and anticancer agent. This study provides an assessment of nutrients (protein, amino acid profiles, fiber, starch), phenolic content TPC, flavonoid content TFC, and antioxidant capacity through different in vitro methods in 12 legume species (red, green, yellow, brown, and black lentils; mung, pinto, black, and kidney beans; chickpea, soy, and lupin) and hemp. Legumes with a protein content above 30% were black lentil, lupin, and soy. Chickpea, soy, black bean, kidney bean, and mung bean did not have any limiting amino acids.

Since the first reported case of COVID-19 in December 2019, several SARS-CoV-2 variants have evolved, and some of them have shown higher transmissibility, becoming the prevalent strains. Genomic epidemiological investigations into strains from different time points, including the early stages of the pandemic, are very crucial for understanding the evolution and transmission patterns. Detailed analysis covered the optical and structural properties of Eu-doped NaYSiO oxyapatite phosphors, which were obtained via hydrothermal synthesis. X-ray diffraction patterns of NaYSiO:xEu (x = 0, 1, 5, 7, 10 mol% Eu) samples proved a single-phase hexagonal structure ( (176) space group). Differential thermal analysis showed an exothermic peak at 995 °C attributed to the amorphous to crystalline transformation of NaYSiO.
