Herein, we describe the design and synthesis of a series of C-5-substituted diazenyl derivatives of uracil, exhibiting selective and potent antileishmanial but not antibacterial or antifungal activity. The formation of the substituted derivatives was confirmed by using FTIR, H, C NMR, and HRMS analysis. Among all of the sets of tested compounds, only three [, and ] showed the highest activity against (LD) promastigote and amastigote models of LD infections.

Unlabelled: Granulation is the critical process for the pharmaceutical development of poorly water-soluble drug products. Poorly formulated products have challenges in dissolution and bioequivalence studies. Rivaroxaban (RXB) is a poorly soluble drug and has 66% fasting bioavailability at a high strength of 20 mg.

There is a lack of treatment for the detrimental effects of fluorosis. Sodium fluoride at a concentration of 10 ppm induces stress, depression and memory impairment in adult Wistar rats. Naringin, a flavanone glycoside isolated from citrus fruits such as lemons and oranges, possesses anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and neuroprotective properties; therefore, it was used for treatment of fluoride induced toxicity in the present study.

A unique fluorescent molecule (ND-S) was obtained from Eosin Y in two simple yet high yielding steps (1). ND-S has special metal ion sensing ability, such that it can selectively detect toxic Hg present in very low concentration in aqueous solutions in the presence of other competing metal ions. The host-guest complexation is ratiometric and is associated with significant increase in fluorescence during the process.

The last decade has encountered an increasing demand for plant-based natural antibiotics. This demand has led to more research-based investigations for natural sources of antimicrobial agents and published reports demonstrating that plant extracts are widely applied in modern medicine, reporting potential activity that may be due to polyphenol compounds. Interestingly, the effects of polyphenols on the sensitivity of bacteria to antibiotics have not been well-studied.

The disintegration of coal-based precursors for the scalable production of nanozymes relies on the fate of solvothermal pyrolysis. Herein, we report a novel economic and scalable strategy to fabricate yellow luminescent graphene quantum dots (YGQDs) by remediating unburnt coal waste (CW). The YGQDs (size: 7-8 nm; M.

The pathophysiology of depression is heavily dependent on inflammation. Evidence suggests that the etiology of depression is linked with NLRP3 inflammasome-induced inflammation. Therefore, blocking the activated NLRP3 inflammasome may be beneficial for treating depression.

Fenugreek is used for medicinal purposes in various traditions. Some studies have demonstrated that the seeds of this plant may have an anti-diabetic effect by lowering fasting blood sugar levels and improving glucose tolerance. We conducted a systematic review of the hypoglycemic effects of fenugreek.

This systematic review and meta-analysis aims to find the effect of Gymnema sylvestre (GS) supplementation on glycemic control in type-2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). PubMed, Cochrane library, Google Scholar, and Science Direct were searched from inception to June 2020 to identify the studies that reported GS supplementation on glycemic parameters. Standardized mean difference (SMD) was calculated by comparing the post-intervention data with baseline data.
