P-Phenylenediamine (PPD) is a common component of hair dye, which can cause skin contact allergy and asthma with impaired pulmonary function. However, the adverse effects of occupational exposure to different dose PPD was rarely mentioned. We recruited 124 workers from a hair dye factory to explore the association of occupational PPD exposure on pulmonary function, pruritus and health related quality of life (HRQL).

In this study, is proposed as a new species, based on morphological, ecological, molecular and biochemical evidence. The new species grows on sandy ground under and in north-western China and northern Europe, respectively. It is characterised by the combination of the robust habit, nearly glabrous pileus, large cylindrical basidiospores, thin-walled cheilocystidia and ecological associations with × and and unique phylogenetic placement.

What Is Already Known About This Topic?: The burden of illness and economic losses due to upper-limb work-related musculoskeletal disorders (UL-WMSDs) is high; thus, they have become a major global public health problem. At present, the epidemiological characteristics of UL-WMSDs in China's occupational population are still unknown.
What Is Added By This Report?: The incidence of UL-WMSDs among key occupational groups in China is 22.

Objective: To comprehensively evaluate the effectiveness of improvement of protective facilities in a vinyl chloride monomer(VCM) on promotion toward health status of occupational exposed group and safety production at poly-vinyl chloride(PVC) by comparing the liver function indicators and inspection result before and after the improvement, and to analyze the possible influential factors.
Methods: The information collection concerning facilities improvement in 2013 and 2016, identification toward critical controlling points, data or detection result from occupational on-site survey and physical examination were originated in July 2020, and 227 VCM exposed workers and 179 others without chemical reagents exposure history from production factory with calcium carbide process in Tianjin City were selected as objects. The effectiveness toward improvement of protective facilities in critical controlling points that occupational exposed workers usually involve in were evaluated through comparison toward VCM concentration result, thiodiglycolic acid(TDGA) content in urine, indicators on liver function and biochemistry and liver ultrasound.

Objective: This study aimed to understand the noise exposure of non-coal mines in China to take appropriate controls to protect workers' health.
Methods: An assessment of non-coal miners' noise exposures was conducted in four provinces in China. Individual noise exposure levels were measured, and the survey on the hearing protector device (HPD) equipment was administered.

Objective: Growing evidence suggests that alcohol consumption is a risk factor for hearing loss; however, the evidence has been inconsistent. This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the effect of alcohol consumption on hearing loss.
Methods: We searched several databases up to November 2021, for published articles using the keywords "alcohol drinking" and "hearing loss".

Benzene is a frequent component of environmental pollution and is abundant in petrochemicals, decorative materials, motor vehicle exhaust and cigarette smoke. Benzene is a well-known carcinogen in humans and animals, but the molecular mechanism has not yet been elucidated. Our earlier research indicated that hydroquinone (HQ), one of the main reactive metabolites of benzene, could activate aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR), which is essential for HQ-induced toxicity, including apoptosis and DNA damage.

Objectives: To describe the prevalence of self-reported musculoskeletal disorders among workers in the electronics manufacturing industry and to investigate the relations between work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs) and work-related variables.
Methods: An interview-based questionnaire survey was carried out in thirty electronics manufacturing factories in China in 2018. The prevalence of WMSDs was estimated using the modified Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire (NMQ).

Long-term inhalation of welding fume at high exposure can cause welder's pneumoconiosis, and metals in welding dust are associated with respiratory dysfunction. This cross-sectional study, which contains 384 Chinese male workers who were or had been working in a container factory, aimed to assess the potential risk of haemal and urinary metal content in welder's pneumoconiosis. Further, we investigated their effects on lung function parameters.

Occupational stress and depressive symptoms are common among professionals in the primary healthcare system, and the former can lead to a more severe level of the latter. However, there are few studies on the mediating effect of occupational stress on depressive symptoms using cumulative fatigue as a mediating variable. The Core Occupational Stress Scale, the Self Diagnosis Scale of Workers' Cumulative Fatigue, and the Patient Health Questionnaire were used in the proposed study.

Objectives: The commonly used methods for the occupational health risk assessment (OHRA) of chemical toxicants cannot fully meet the needs of practical work. This study evaluated OHRA strategies for chemical toxicants in the workplace by establishing a quantitative analysis model.
Methods: Five typical industries in China that implement OHRA using the six common models (the Environmental Protection Agency, Australian, Romanian, Singaporean, International Council on Mining and Metals, and the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health models) were selected as the research objects.

Determining the presence of paraquat (PQ) and diquat (DQ) in urine samples through physical and chemical testing is challenging. As PQ and DQ have characteristics such as high molecular polarity and good water solubility, they are difficult to be retained by conventional reversed-phase columns. Most of the methods in the literature use hydrophilic interaction chromatography (HILIC) for the retention of PQ and DQ, but they often require high concentrations of buffer salts as the mobile phase, which increase the contamination of the mass spectrometer.

Background: Changes in modern industrial production practices can easily lead to shoulder work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSD). The current reports on shoulder WMSD are limited to some industries are less well studied, and the sample size is usually small. This study aimed to describe the prevalence and severity of shoulder WMSD in a large sample of Chinese workers from 15 industries, analyze the possible correlations with sociodemographic and work-related variables, and compare the differences between industries.

Objective: To develop the certified reference material in freeze-dried human urine.
Methods: Normal human urine was collected, mixed and filtered as a matrix, then the urine was prepared by adding standard, mixing, sub-packaging, and freeze-drying; After the homogeneity and stability were tested by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer, the urine were determined by two methods in seven independent laboratories and the uncertainty of the certified reference material was evaluated.
Results: The minimum sample intake of the developed certified reference material was 0.
