: Cardiomyopathy, including dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), is a major cause of heart failure (HF) and a leading indication for heart transplantation. Of these patients, 20-50% have a genetic cause, so understanding the genetic basis of cardiomyopathy will provide knowledge about the pathogenesis of the disease for diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and genetic counseling for families. : This study collected nine patients from different Vietnamese families for genetic analysis at The Cardiovascular Center, E Hospital, Hanoi, Vietnam.

Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is an irreversible progressive interstitial lung disease of unknown cause. The poorly understood pathophysiology of IPF poses substantial challenges to the development of effective anti-lung fibrotic drugs. The NLRP3 inflammasome, a key component of the innate immune system, has recently been linked to the pathogenesis of lung fibrosis.

This study aimed to use a computational approach that combined the classification-based QSAR model, molecular docking, ADME studies, and molecular dynamics (MD) to identify potential inhibitors of Fyn kinase. First, a robust classification model was developed from a dataset of 1,078 compounds with known Fyn kinase inhibitory activity, using the XGBoost algorithm. After that, molecular docking was performed between potential compounds identified from the QSAR model and Fyn kinase to assess their binding strengths and key interactions, followed by MD simulations.

Phenotypic degeneration in Cordyceps militaris poses a significant concern for producers, yet the mechanisms underlying this phenomenon remain elusive. To address this concern, we isolated two strains that differ in their abilities to form fruiting bodies. Our observations revealed that the degenerated strain lost the capacity to develop fruiting bodies, exhibited limited radial expansion, increased spore density, and elevated intracellular glycerol levels.

Background: Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) have been widely studied to alleviate acute lung injury (ALI) due to their paracrine function. However, the microenvironment of inflammatory outbreaks significantly restricted the factors secreted from MSCs like keratinocyte growth factor (KGF). KGF is a growth factor with tissue-repaired ability.
