Purpose: Despite increased usage of telemedicine to deliver treatment during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, the efficacy of telerehabilitation for spine pain is unknown. This study aimed to investigate the effect of telerehabilitation on pain and disability in patients with spine pain treated during the COVID-19 pandemic and compare the results to in-clinic rehabilitation.
Materials & Methods: In this propensity score-matched analysis, 428 patients with spine pain who underwent telerehabilitation during the 6 months of COVID-19 pandemic lockdown and 428 patients who underwent in-clinic multimodal rehabilitation treatment during the 6-month period prior to lockdown were compared.

Objective: Theological beliefs play an important role in cultural norms and could impact women's prenatal and postpartum decisions in South Asia, which has a high burden of disease in children and pregnant women. The aim of this study is to identify any associations religion may have in affecting a woman's decision-making ability, and how that in turn affects maternal and child health, at a group level in multiple South Asian countries.
Study Design: Cross-sectional study utilizing secondary data analysis.

Alzheimer's disease is a steadily progressive, irreversible neurological disorder that is most frequently categorized under the umbrella term "neurodegeneration". Several attempts are underway to clarify the pathogenic mechanisms, identify the aetiologies, and determine a pathway by which the therapeutic steps can be implemented. Oxidative stress is one of the pathogenic processes, which is commonly believed to be associated with neurodegenerative diseases.

Migraine headache is a painful, disabling condition afflicting 7% of the population. The long-term effort of coping with a chronic headache disorder predisposes the individual to other psychiatric illnesses, ischemic cerebrovascular disease as well as medicine overuse headache. The use of nonpharmacological methods to reduce the stress and pain associated with headache can improve the overall quality of life and reduce the burden of the disease.

Controlling the spread of SARS-CoV-2 will require high vaccination coverage, but acceptance of the vaccine could be impacted by perceptions of vaccine safety and effectiveness. The aim of this study was to characterize how vaccine safety and effectiveness impact acceptance of a vaccine, and whether this impact varied over time or across socioeconomic and demographic groups. Repeated cross-sectional surveys of an opt-in internet sample were conducted in 2020 in the US, mainland China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, and India.

Purpose: Recommendations for resecting distal femur and proximal tibia in mechanical and anatomical alignment techniques are standardized. Kinematic alignment propagates individualizing resection planes. Whether significant variation exists, to warrant departure from standardized resection planes, has not been shown thus far in a large cohort of knees and with a wide range of varus deformity.

Correct placement of the femoral component in the coronal plane during primary total knee arthroplasty (TKA) is related to long-term survival. The aim of this radiographic study was to determine the accuracy of a novel three-step technique for improving the accuracy of the distal femoral cut during conventional technique and compare it with computer navigation during TKA. A total of 458 TKAs were retrospectively analyzed (178 conventional TKAs with the novel technique and 280 navigated TKAs) for postoperative femoral component coronal alignment and compared between the two groups.

Background: Childhood multidrug-resistant TB (MDR-TB) still affects around 25000 children every year across the globe. Though the treatment success rates for drug-resistant TB (DR-TB) in children are better than adults, children and adolescents face unique hurdles during DR-TB (MDR-TB, Pre-XDR TB and XDR-TB) treatment. This study aimed to understand the patients, guardians and healthcare providers' perspectives about DR-TB treatment journey of patients and caregivers.

In this work, ZnO-CdWO nanoparticles have been synthesized by the ecofriendly green method with lemon leaf extract to favorably anchor functional groups on their surface. The prepared ZnO-CdWO nanoparticles are used as adsorbent to treat Congo red (CR) dye after characterization through FT-IR, UV-Vis, TEM, SEM-EDX, and HRTEM techniques. The equilibrium partition coefficient and adsorption capacity values for CR by ZnO-CdWO are estimated as 21.

Background: Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is often associated with higher levels of LH, and arrested ovarian follicular growth. The direct impact of high LH on FSH mediated metabolic responses in PCOS patients is not clearly understood.
Method: In order to investigate the impact of FSH and LH on glucose metabolism in preovulatory granulosa cells (GCs), we used [UC]-2 deoxyglucose, D-[UC]-glucose or 2-NBD glucose to analyse glucose uptake and its incorporation into glycogen.

Cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterases (PDEs) are group of enzymes responsible for the hydrolysis of cyclic adenosine 3', 5' monophosphate (cAMP) and cyclic guanosine 3', 5' monophosphate (cGMP) levels in wide variety of cell types. These PDEs are detected in encircling granulosa cells or in oocyte with in follicular microenvironment and responsible for the decrease of cAMP and cGMP levels in mammalian oocytes. A transient decrease of cAMP level initiates downstream pathways to cause spontaneous meiotic resumption from diplotene arrest and induces oocyte maturation.
