The impact of fermented concentrate on the growth and rumen health of beef cattle remains an area of emerging research. This study aimed to assess the influence of a fermented concentrate (TRT) compared to a conventional concentrate (CON) on the growth, rumen fermentation characteristics, and microbiota composition in Korean cattle. Using a crossover design, eight cattle were alternately fed TRT and CON diets, with subsequent analysis of feed components, rumen fermentation parameters, and microbial profiles.

High-temperature (15-37°C) aging can shorten the tenderizing time of beef; however, the use of constant temperature heating can lead to microbial spoilage. This study tested radiofrequency (RF) tenderization (RF-T) to find the appropriate conditions for the aging-like effect of beef without microbial spoilage. After subjecting beef to 22 h RF-T with four different cooling temperatures (15, 5, -10, and -20°C), the proliferated aerobic bacteria on the surface showed a concentration of 6-6.

Jejunal haemorrhage syndrome (JHS) is a sporadic and fatal enterotoxaemic disease in dairy cows associated with acute development and poor prognosis despite treatment. A 5-year-old Holstein cow with no reported pregnancy, three calving numbers, and 303 days in milk presented with hypothermia, discomfort, and inappetence. Anaemia, dehydration, faeces with blood clots, and absence of rumen and bowel movements were observed.

The study evaluated the effects of dietary fiber and energy levels administered during two growing periods (d 0-28 and d 29-56) for pigs exposed to a high temperature. A total of 96 growing pigs were used in six treatments as: Two treatments in thermoneutral temperature (21°C-24°C) with dietary energy of 3,300 and the inclusion of high or low fiber, two treatments in heat stress (30°C-34°C) with dietary energy of 3,300 and the inclusion of high or low fiber, and two treatments in heat stress with dietary energy of 3,450 and the inclusion of high or low fiber. Among standard energy level treatments, heat-stressed pigs showed lower average daily gain (ADG), feed intake, digestibility of dry matter, gross energy, crude protein, and crude fiber in phases 1 and 2.

This study prepared copper nanoparticles using an edible leaf extract from (AM-CuNPs) via eco-friendly green synthesis techniques. The size, shape, crystalline nature and functional groups of the synthesized AM-CuNP particles were analyzed by a UV-VIS spectrophotometer and SEM, EDX, TEM, XRD and FT-IR instrumentation. The synthesized AM-CuNPs had spherical shapes with sizes in the range of 30-80 nm and were crystalline in nature.
