Roasting is the most common thermal processing method established for (SJ) buds applied as traditional medicines, and it has also been reported to alter several of their therapeutic functions. However, there have been no studies investigating the influences of roasting on the effects of these materials against bacteria. The Eighth Asian National Control Laboratory (NCL) Network meeting, entitled "Biological Products Quality Control and Self-Sufficiency Strategy focusing on plasma-derived medicinal products (PDMPs)" was held in Seoul on 31 August 2023. Background: The booster vaccine is essential for maintaining the antibody against the severe acute respiratory syndrome corona virus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) virus. This study sought to evaluate the antibody response after booster coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccines and compare the immunogenic by different vaccine combination strategies.

Post-vaccination adverse reactions have been reported with varying symptoms and severity owing to research and production time pressures during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. In this article, we report a rare case of Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) in a patient with COVID-19 with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) after receiving Sinopharm's Vero Cell vaccine (China). The patient who was initially negative for COVID-19 was diagnosed with GBS based on paralysis that developed from the lower extremities to the upper extremities, as confirmed by cytoalbuminologic dissociation in the cerebrospinal fluid.
