Purpose: [Tc]Tc-HYNIC-iPSMA is a novel technetium-99m-labelled small molecule inhibitor of the prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) for detecting prostate cancer (PC). The objective of this registry was to collect and evaluate [Tc]Tc-HYNIC-iPSMA patient data and images to establish the safety and tolerability, and clinical utility of this agent in imaging at different stages of PC.
Methods: Patients 18 to 80 years old with primary staging and metastatic PC were eligible.

Background: Only 10-40% of patients with cancer in low-income and middle-income countries were able to access curative or palliative radiotherapy in 2015. We aimed to assess the current status of diagnostic imaging and radiotherapy services in the Baltic countries, eastern Europe, central Asia, and the Caucasus by collecting and analysing local data.
Methods: This Access to Radiotherapy (ART) comprehensive analysis used data from 12 countries: the three Baltic countries (Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania), two countries in eastern Europe (Moldova and Ukraine), four countries in central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan), and three countries in the Caucasus (Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia), referred to here as the ART countries.

The utilization of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy to target cluster of differentiation (CD)19 in cancer immunotherapy has been a recent and significant advancement. Although this approach is highly specific and selective, it is not without complications. Therefore, a systematic review was conducted to assess the current state of positron emission tomography (PET) in evaluating the adverse effects induced by CAR T-cell therapy.

Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between left-sided varicocele and epididymitis or epididymo-orchitis.
Materials And Methods: The study included 72 patients with left side epididymitis (EP) or epididymo-orchitis (EPO) (Group 1) and a control group of 72 patients without EP or EPO (Group 2). Those with right EP-EPO were excluded due to possible other underlying retroperitoneal pathologies causing varicocele.

Objective: To assess the impact of HIV on access to invasive cervical cancer (ICC) care and overall survival (OS) in a time of universal access to antiretroviral therapy (ART).
Methods: A cohort of women prospectively diagnosed with ICC was consecutively recruited from 2018 to 2020 in public/private cancer centers in Côte d'Ivoire. Follow-up data were collected through facility- and phone-based approaches.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the most common primary liver malignancy with worldwide high incidence and mortality. In more than 90% of cases, HCC arise from a cirrhotic liver that is mostly induced by viral diseases and especially in developed countries alcoholic steatohepatitis and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis. In contrast, cholangiocellular carcinoma (CCC) is a very rare cancer entity with a high mortality due to insidious onset.

Blood samples of 451 patients with newly diagnosed AK stage III after their surgical treatment (resection volume - R0) have been investigated. The duration of the relapse-free period (period of observation - 1 year), cellular composition of the blood, concentration of C-RP, albumin, Cyfra 21-1 antigens, SCC, TPA, chemokines CXCL5, CXCL8, pyruvate kinase TuM2 PK isoenzyme, HIF-1α and hyaluronic acid in blood serum so as the proportion of blood cells with CXCR1 and CXCR2, CD44V6 receptors in blood serum were measured.

The binding of SARS-CoV-2 spikes to the cell receptor angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) is a crucial target both in the prevention and in the therapy of COVID-19. We explored the involvement of oxidoreductive mechanisms by investigating the effects of oxidants and antioxidants on virus uptake by ACE2-expressing cells of human origin (ACE2-HEK293). The cell uptake of pseudoviruses carrying the envelope of either Delta or Omicron variants of SARS-CoV-2 was evaluated by means of a cytofluorimetric approach.

Introduction: Ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB) is currently widely used for the initial screening of patients with thyroid nodules enabling prevention of unnecessary surgery. The purpose of this study was to retrospectively analyse the diagnostic accuracy of thyroid FNAB compared with postoperative histopathology of a large cohort from Azerbaijan.
Methods: We evaluated the FNAB results of 738 patients who underwent thyroid surgery at the National Centre of Oncology in Azerbaijan.

Aim/purpose: Fibroblast activation protein-(FAP)-ligands, a novel class of tracers for PET/CT imaging, demonstrated promising results in previous studies in various malignancies compared to standard [F]FDG PET/CT. Ga-labeled fibroblast activation protein inhibitor-([Ga]Ga-DOTA-FAPI)-PET/CT impresses with sharp contrasts in terms of high tumor uptake and low background noise leading to clear delineation. [F]FDG PET/CT has limited accuracy in bladder cancer due to high background signal.

Biochemical recurrence (BCR) is a clinical challenge in prostate cancer (PCa) patients, as recurrence localization guides subsequent therapies. The use of PET with prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) provides better accuracy than conventional imaging practice. This prospective, multicenter, international study was performed to evaluate the diagnostic performance and clinical impact of PSMA PET/CT for evaluating BCR in PCa patients in a worldwide scenario.

Background: Gallium 68-tetraazacyclododecane-tetraacetic acid-octreotate ([68Ga]Ga-DOTA-TATE) is a selective somatostatin analogue ligand, which shows increased affinity for somatostatin receptor subtype (SSTR) 2 and has been used routinely for imaging neuroendocrine tumors with PET/CT. We investigated the utility of [68Ga]Ga-DOTA-TATE positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) in patients with suspected pituitary pathology. We reviewed imaging for twenty consecutive patients (8 men, 12 women, mean age of 48.

Background: ESGO (European Society of Gynaecological Oncology) and partners are continually improving the developmental opportunities for gynaecological oncology fellows. The objectives of this survey were to evaluate the progress in the infrastructure of the training systems in Europe over the past decade. We also evaluated training and assessment techniques, the perceived relevance of ENYGO (European Network of Young Gynaecological Oncologists) initiatives, and unmet needs of trainees.

COVID-19 may cause pneumonia, acute respiratory distress syndrome, cardiovascular alterations, and multiple organ failure, which have been ascribed to a cytokine storm, a systemic inflammatory response, and an attack by the immune system. Moreover, an oxidative stress imbalance has been demonstrated to occur in COVID-19 patients. N- Acetyl-L-cysteine (NAC) is a precursor of reduced glutathione (GSH).

A 54-year-old man with multiple endocrine neoplasia type 1 had previous history of parathyroid surgery and left thyroid lobectomy 5 years earlier, and was referred for recurrent hypoglycemic episodes. Ga-DOTATATE PET/CT had showed multiple lesions in the right lung, liver, and pancreas. Biopsy from pancreas revealed low-grade neuroendocrine neoplasia.

This article was designed to report a rare case of oropharyngeal chondroma in a 31 year-old male patient. Computed tomography revealed an encapsulated cystic-solid tissue mass having the clear-cut contours with multiple diffuse foci of calcification in the tissue thickness. The neoplasm was morphologically characterized as a chondroma.
