Debates concerning the reliability and validity of operationalized criteria and diagnostic tools have surrounded the issue of schizophrenia diagnosis and clinical decision-making related to the disorder. The notion of the praecox feeling (PF) has played a prominent role in the discussions as an example of the possibility of a rapid and potentially valid diagnosis based solely on "intuition" or a peculiar emotional experience or impression arising in a physician during an interaction with a patient with schizophrenia. In this paper, we argue that PF is enabled by the (phenomenologically understood) intercorporeal dimension of the clinical encounter.

This study endeavoured to capitalize on prickly pear by-products for the optimization of molasses formulation, targeting elevated antioxidant capacities and superior sugar contents. Therapy-related acute myeloid leukaemia (t-AML) is a late side effect of previous chemotherapy (ct-AML) and/or radiotherapy (rt-AML) or immunosuppressive treatment. t-AMLs, which account for ∼10-20 % of all AML cases, are extremely aggressive and have a poor prognosis compared to AML. The Multiple Linear Regression (MLR) technique was used to determine the relationship between the integrated biomarker response index (IBR) with the most important confounding factors (Temperature, pH, Salinity and Dissolved oxygen), in order to define: (1) the baseline assessment criteria (BAC), (2) the environmental assessment criteria (EAC) and (3) the BouIsmail Bay (BIB) -Taxonomy by using Mytilus galloprovincialis sampled from two references sites in BIB (W. The engineering of a novel biocomposite based on Cerastoderma edule shells doped with copper and alginate (Ce-Cu@Alg) forming hydrogel beads was used for batch and dynamic adsorption thiabendazole (TBZ) pesticide from water. The prepared biosorbent was analyzed by various characterization techniques such as scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD), Brunauer-Emmett-Teller analysis (BET), and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), thermogravimetric and differential analysis (TGA-DTA). The results of the TBZ batch biosorption by Ce-Cu@Alg composite showed that the Langmuir model was the most adequate to describe the adsorption process, with a maximum adsorption capacity value of 21.

Bioassay-guided separation afforded furanodienone 1,10-epoxide () as the new compound, curcolone ( as partially described compound and ten known compounds; germacrone (), furanodienone (, curzerenone ), curcumenol (), zederone (), comosone II (), (1E,4E,8R)-8-hydroxygermacra-1(10),4,7(11)-trieno-12,8-lactone (), 13-hydroxygermacrone (), curcuzederone () and demethoxycurcumin (). The study showed that germacrone, furanodienone, curzerenone, comosone II, 13-hydroxygermacrone, curcuzederone and demethoxycurcumin are the bioactive compounds of rhizomes. Comosone II significantly inhibited MDA-MB-231 cell migration and invasion through the inhibition of MMP-9 enzyme.

Silicon (Si) films were deposited on low-cost graphite substrates by the electrochemical reduction of silicon dioxide nanoparticles (nano-SiO) in calcium chloride (CaCl), melted at 855 °C. Cyclic voltammetry (CV) was used to analyze the electrochemical reduction mechanism of SiO to form Si deposits on the graphite substrate. X-ray diffraction (XRD) along with Raman and photoluminescence (PL) results show that the crystallinity of the electrodeposited Si-films was improved with an increase of the applied reduction potential during the electrochemical process.
