Background: Endovascular intervention by means of thrombolysis is emerging as a promising management of Acute Aortic Occlusion (AAO). This study aims to evaluate the outcomes of endovascular thrombectomy for AAO cases in a single-center tertiary hospital in Indonesia.
Methods: We review retrospectively AAO patients treated by Rheolytic thrombectomy ± stenting or TEVAR at our referral center from 2011 to 2024.

Background: Surgical intervention is the definitive treatment for Ebstein anomaly, offering both biventricular and nonbiventricular repair options. The objective of this study is to identify a specific cutoff value for tricuspid septal leaflet displacement, which will be a crucial factor in determining the selection of a surgical approach with lower mortality risk in biventricular repair.
Methods And Results: This is a retrospective cohort study of consecutive patients with Ebstein anomaly undergoing surgical intervention at the National Cardiovascular Center Harapan Kita from January 2010 to December 2023.

Background: Covered stent correction for a sinus venosus atrial septal defect (SVASD) was first performed in 2009. This innovative approach was initially viewed as experimental and was reserved for highly selected patients with unusual anatomic variants. In 2016, increasing numbers of procedures began to be performed, and in several centers, it is now offered as a standard of care option alongside surgical repair.

Objective: The no-touch (NT) technique for saphenous vein graft (SVG) harvesting has been gaining popularity as several trials have shown its superiority in maintaining graft patency. However, this technique's clinical outcome and safety are still disputed and the results vary widely. The aim of this meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) was to assess the effectiveness and safety of this method.

Background: A considerable number of symptomatic patients leave the cardiac catheterization lab without a definitive diagnosis for their symptoms because no epicardial stenoses are found. The significance of disorders of coronary microvasculature and vasomotion as the cause of symptoms and signs of ischemia has only recently been appreciated. Today we have a wide spectrum of invasive coronary physiology tools but little is known about when and how these tools are used in clinical practice.

Background And Aim: Diabetes has been shown in last decades to be associated with a significantly higher mortality among patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) treated with primary PCI (PPCI). Therefore, the aim of current study was to evaluate the impact of diabetes on times delays, reperfusion and mortality in a contemporary STEMI population undergoing PPCI, including treatment during the COVID pandemic.
Methods And Results: The ISACS-STEMI COVID-19 is a large-scale retrospective multicenter registry involving PPCI centers from Europe, Latin America, South-East Asia and North-Africa, including patients treated from 1st of March until June 30, 2019 and 2020.

Purpose: to investigate the effects of vessel geometry on steno-occlusive and dilatative common iliac artery (CIA) pathologies.
Methods: this single-center, retrospective study included 100 participants, namely 60 participants with a unilateral, isolated CIA pathology who were divided into three pathology-based groups (a stenosis group, = 20, an occlusion group, = 20, and an aneurysm group, = 20) and 40 participants without a CIA pathology (control group). All participants underwent abdominal and pelvic computed tomography angiography.

: Self-care experiences and understanding of coronary heart disease (CHD) play a pivotal role in the management of CHD and can contribute to positive health outcomes. This qualitative study aimed to explore the views and experiences of CHD patients, their families, and Indigenous leaders about self-care practices of CHD. : A qualitative design employing semi-structured interviews and a focus group discussion was used.

: Vascular access site complications (VASCs) after endovascular interventions requiring a large-bore access are frequent and known to be associated with increased morbidity and mortality. Although balloon-expandable covered stents (BECSs) are increasingly used in such indications, their performance in this rather hostile territory is currently unknown. We aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of BECSs in common femoral artery (CFA) VASCs management.

Dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT), which is essential in AMI management, combines aspirin with a P2Y12 receptor antagonist. This study compared the effectiveness of potent P2Y12 inhibitors versus clopidogrel in AMI patients treated with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). 65,986 AMI patients included in a nationwide prospective registry who underwent PCI and received DAPT were studied.

Introduction: Bleeding after cardiac surgeries holds risk of mortality and morbidity in pediatrics. This systematic review aimed to evaluate postoperative blood loss and blood transfusion requirements for pediatric patients undergoing cardiac surgery with fresh frozen plasma (FFP) priming.
Methods: In 2024, the search reviewed four databases on randomized trials (RCTs) examining the impact of FFP prime intervention on 24-h postoperative blood loss and transfusion requirements in pediatric cardiac surgeries.

Background: Coronary computed tomography (CT) angiography-derived attenuation-based plaque burden assessments can identify patients at risk of myocardial infarction.
Objectives: This study sought to assess whether more detailed plaque morphology assessment using patient-based radiomic characterization could further enhance the identification of patients at risk of myocardial infarction during long-term follow-up.
Methods: Post hoc analysis of coronary CT angiography was performed within the SCOT-HEART (Scottish Computed Tomography of the HEART) clinical trial.

Although acute upper limb ischemia (AULI) is less prevalent than lower acute limb ischemia, AULI may lead to severe morbidity if not well-treated. To manage AULI appropriately, evaluation of the etiologies, risk factors, and revascularization is of importance. Here we present a case of recurrent AULI and its appropriate diagnostic and management approaches.

Background: Hypertension is the most prevalent cardiovascular risk factor, with several detrimental effects on the cardiovascular system. Contrasting results have been reported so far on its prognostic role in patients admitted for ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). Therefore, we investigated the impact of hypertension on short-term mortality in a large multicenter contemporary registry of STEMI patients, including patients treated during COVID-19 pandemic.

Introduction Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) carries the risk of postoperative arrhythmias. Our study focusses on the efficacy of dexamethasone in both on-pump CABG (ONCAB) and off-pump CABG (OPCAB). Methods This single center randomized control trial was conducted from July 1st, 2018 to January 20th, 2019 in patients undergoing conventional ONCAB and OPCAB at the National Cardiovascular Center Harapan Kita (NCCHK).

Background: In Indonesia, heart failure has become a major community problem because of the high cost of care, low quality of life, and premature death. Until now, loop diuretics are still the main therapy in patients with acute decompensated heart failure with clinical congestion. Diuretic responsiveness can be assessed objectively by measuring sodium urine.
