A new era of the Asian clinical research network: a report from the ATLAS international symposium.

This report summarizes the presentations and discussions in the first Asian Clinical Trials Network for Cancers (ATLAS) international symposium that was held on 24 April 2022, in Bangkok, Thailand, and hosted by the National Cancer Center Hospital (NCCH), co-hosted by the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA), Clinical Research Malaysia (CRM) and the Thai Society of Clinical Oncology (TSCO), and supported by Embassy of Japan in Thailand. Since 2020, the NCCH has conducted the ATLAS project to enhance research environments and infrastructures to facilitate international clinical research and cancer genomic medicine in the Asian region. The purpose of the symposium was to discuss what we can achieve under the ATLAS project, to share the latest topics and common issues in cancer research and to facilitate mutual understanding.

Treatment Outcome and Safety of the TCX Regimen for Advanced Gastric Cancer: A Prospective Cohort Study.

Objective: To evaluate the outcome and safety of the paclitaxel, carboplatin, and capecitabine (TCX) regimen in patients with advanced gastric cancer.

Methods: Advanced gastric cancer patients received the TCX regimen for up to six cycles, which were 3 weeks apart. Paclitaxel (175 mg/m2) was given over a 3-hour infusion, followed by carboplatin in a 1-hour infusion on day 1.

Pathological Complete Response with Neoadjuvant Trastuzumab Combined with Chemotherapy in HER2 Positive Breast Cancer: A Single Institution Retrospective Analysis from Vietnam.

Purpose: Neoadjuvant regimens containing trastuzumab and chemotherapy were widely used in human epidermal growth factor 2 (HER2) positive breast cancer patients. In this article, we report complete pathological response (pCR) rates from a single institution in Vietnam.

Patients And Methods: Medical records of HER2 positive breast cancer patients who received neoadjuvant treatment with trastuzumab combined with chemotherapy were reviewed.

A Matched Case-Control Study of Risk Factors for Breast Cancer Risk in Vietnam.

. Vietnam has a low age-standardized incidence of breast cancer, but the incidence is rising rapidly with economic development. We report data from a matched case-control study of risk factors for breast cancer in the largest cancer hospital in Vietnam.
