The Impact of Exercise Training on Physical Activity among Elderly Women in the Community: A Pilot Study.

According to a survey conducted by the Taiwanese government, the elderly spend most of their time watching TV for their daily leisure activities, and most do not pant or sweat during exercise. Relevant studies have shown that physical activity has benefits and importance for the physical functions of the elderly. The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of exercise training on the functional fitness of elderly females in the community.

Copper(I)-Mediated Denitrogenative Macrocyclization for the Synthesis of Cyclic α β-Tetrapeptide Analogues.

A copper(I)-mediated denitrogenative reaction has been successfully developed for the preparation of cyclic tetrapeptides. The key reactive intermediate, ketenimine, triggers intramolecular cyclization through attack of the terminal amine group to generate an internal β-amino acid with an amidine linkage. The chemistry developed herein provides a new synthetic route for the preparation of cyclic α β-tetrapeptide analogues that contain important biological properties and results in rich structural information being obtained for conformational studies.

Thermally Induced Denitrogenative Annulation for the Synthesis of Dihydroquinolinimines and Chroman-4-imines.

A rapid growth in synthetic methods for the preparation of diverse organic molecules using N-sulfonyl-1,2,3-triazoles is of great interest in organic synthesis. Transition metals are generally used to activate the α-imino diazo intermediates. Metal-free methods have not been studied in detail, but can be a good complement to transition metal catalysis in the mild reaction conditions.
