Background: Inguinal lymph node dissection plays an important role in the management of melanoma, penile and vulval cancer. Inguinal lymph node dissection is associated with various intraoperative and postoperative complications with significant heterogeneity in classification and reporting. This lack of standardization challenges efforts to study and report inguinal lymph node dissection outcomes.

Differences in the breast cancer incidence and tumor anatomical features at diagnosis, pharmacogenomics data between Western and Indian women along with the vast diversity in the economic status and differences in insurance policies of these regions; suggest recommendations put forward for Western women might not be applicable to Indian/Asian women. Opinions from oncologists through a voting survey on various prognostic factors/tools to be considered for planning adjuvant therapy are consolidated in this report for the benefit of oncologists of the sub-continent, SAARC and Asia's LMIC (low and middle-income countries).

Mycobacterium- (Mw) was shown to boost adaptive natural killer (ANK) cells and protect against COVID-19 during the first wave of the pandemic. As a follow-up of the trial, 50 healthcare workers (HCW) who had received Mw in September 2020 and subsequently received at least one dose of ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 vaccine (Mw + ChAdOx1 group) were monitored for symptomatic COVID-19 during a major outbreak with the delta variant of SARS-CoV-2 (April-June 2021), along with 201 HCW receiving both doses of the vaccine without Mw (ChAdOx1 group). Despite 48% having received just a single dose of the vaccine in the Mw + ChAdOx1 group, only two had mild COVID-19, compared to 36 infections in the ChAdOx1 group (HR-0.

Introduction: Thrombosed arteriovenous fistulas (AVFs) are either treated by thrombectomy or pharmaco-mechanical thrombolysis with or without percutaneous balloon angioplasty. In this study, we have described an effective and economical technique of salvaging these fistulae using a 20-22-gauge spinal needle and urokinase and have named it direct percutaneous thrombolysis (DPT).
Materials And Method: This prospective study comprised of 148 patients out of which 120 patients presented with AVF thrombosis and were divided into two groups; those with no obvious stenosis on ultrasound ( = 38) and second with venous stenosis ( = 82).

Satinder Kaur The aim of this article was to study survival outcomes of early-stage cervical cancer patients and impact on survival after restaging them as per International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) 2018. A retrospective study was conducted from June 1, 2013 to May 31, 2018 in a tertiary care hospital in North India. One-hundred patients of early-stage cervical cancer (as per FIGO 2009 staging) who had been treated by surgery followed by risk based tailored adjuvant therapy in our hospital were evaluated.

Posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome encompasses a spectrum of disorders with a constellation of clinical symptoms and neuroradiological features. It is commonly encountered in organ transplant where it poses a challenge in the diagnosis and treatment in the absence of strong evidence. The underlying pathophysiology of posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome is the loss of cerebral autoregulation following elevated blood pressure and/or endothelial dysfunction.

Background: Coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) infection-related neurological events are not uncommon but presenting as posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES) without hypertension is a very rare presentation and requires a high index of suspicion.
Case Summary: We report a case of a middle-aged female who presented with severe COVID-19 disease with no neurological symptoms. She complained of diminished vision on day 7 of the illness and underwent an MRI brain to rule out an ischemic stroke but the findings were suggestive of PRES.

The kinetics of NKG2C adaptive natural killer (ANK) cells and NKG2Ainhibitory NK (iNK) cells with respect to the incidence of SARS-CoV-2 infection were studied for 6 months in a cohort of healthcare workers following the administration of the heat-killed (Mw group) in comparison to a control group. In both groups, corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19) correlated with lower NKG2CANK cells at baseline. There was a significant upregulation of NKG2C expression and IFN-γ release in the Mw group (p=0.

Background: Chronic subdural hematoma (cSDH) is a common entity in the elderly. Homogeneous or well-liquefied CSDH has a standard line of treatment through burr hole and irrigation. However, the management of septated chronic subdural hematoma (sCSDH) with multiple membranes does not have a well-defined surgical approach.

Objective: SARS-CoV-2 infection results in severe lung disease in up to 50% of hospitalised patients. The aetiopathogenesis in a subset of such patients, who continue to have progressive pulmonary disease following virus clearance, remains unexplored.
Methods: We investigated the role of NKG2C/NKG2A adaptive natural killer (ANK) cells, KLRC2 genotype and cytomegalovirus (CMV) reactivation in 22 such patients.

Background: Neoadjuvant therapy (NAT) is increasingly being used in the management of borderline resectable pancreatic cancer (BRPC). We compared the outcomes of patients with BRPC treated either with upfront surgery (UPS) or NAT to assess whether increased use of NAT has helped improve perioperative and long-term outcomes.
Methods: Prospectively maintained database of 201 consecutive patients with BRPC treated at Tata Memorial Center, India, from 2007-2019 was analyzed.

Background: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has caused unprecedented pressure on healthcare system globally. Lack of high-quality evidence on the respiratory management of COVID-19-related acute respiratory failure (C-ARF) has resulted in wide variation in clinical practice.
Methods: Using a Delphi process, an international panel of 39 experts developed clinical practice statements on the respiratory management of C-ARF in areas where evidence is absent or limited.

Leptospirosis, a bacterial infection attributed to the group , remains a globally emerging public-health issue in many endemic tropical, subtropical and temperate zones of the world. The burden is expected to inflate with population shifts related to violent storms and urban floods leading to poor housing and inadequate sanitation. Leptospirosis may mimic other illnesses such as influenza, dengue fever, typhoid and malaria due to its myriad presentation ranging from a mild, self-limiting febrile illness to hepatorenal dysfunction, myocarditis, pulmonary haemorrhage, meningitis, optic neuritis and rhabdomyolysis.

Direct Acting Antivirals (DAA) have changed the landscape of hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection with high cure rates across genotypes. However, the use of these agents in the setting of allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) has been limited. In this context, we report the outcome of five children (5-12 years) with relapsed and refractory leukemia and active HCV infection (genotype 1b), who underwent urgent haploidentical HCT and were treated with Sofosbuvir and Velpatasvir (Sof-Vel) from initiation of treatment to 24 weeks post-HCT.

Background Despite conventional insulin treatment being considered an effective approach for glycemic regulation during renal dysfunction, there is still a major clinical need for better insulin therapy to stabilize fluctuations in glucose levels. Aim The aim of this study was to assess the impact of mealtime fast-acting insulin aspart therapy on glycemic variability as compared to regular human insulin therapy in advanced chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D). Methods Data from eight patients were retrospectively collected after analyzing 57 patients' data between July 2019 and October 2019.
