Syndactyly release with full-thickness skin graft harvested from the wrist: About 24 webspaces.

Ann Chir Plast Esthet

January 2025

Department of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery, Nantes University Hospital, 1, place Alexis Ricordeau, 44000, France.

The management of congenital syndactylies often requires the use of a full-thickness skin graft to reconstruct the affected web space. Traditionally, full-thickness skin grafts are harvested from the groin region, but using the anterior aspect of the wrist may offers benefits in terms of scar quality while simplifying surgical time. This descriptive study evaluates scar quality (at donor and recipient site) associated with full-thickness skin graft harvested from the volar wrist in syndactyly release.

Background And Purpose: In patients with metastatic melanoma who respond to anti-PD-1 therapy, the proliferation of intra-tumour CD8+ T cells is directly correlated with the clinical response, making tumour-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) a treatment of interest in combination with a PD-1 inhibitor, which is the undisputed gold standard in the management of metastatic melanoma. The aim of this trial was, therefore, to evaluate the safety and efficacy of sequential combination therapy consisting of nivolumab (a PD-1 inhibitor) and TILs adoptive T cells in patients with metastatic melanoma.

Materials And Methods: We performed an exploratory, prospective, single-centre, open-label, non-randomised, uncontrolled phase I/II study.
