Objective: This study aimed to provide a comprehensive summary and synthesis of available evidence on the efficacy of internet-based psychological interventions for pathological health anxiety, as well as to examine the variables that possibly moderate intervention effects.
Method: Four databases were searched for the literature up to October 2023. A three-level random-effects model was used to estimate the pooled effect size, with Hedge's g as the measure.

Nitrous oxide (NO) has demonstrated an antidepressant effect for treatment-resistant depression (TRD), but no studies investigated the effects of NO on different cognition domains. This study aimed to test whether NO would display pro-cognitive effects. We conducted a double-blinded, placebo-controlled, randomized controlled trial, 44 patients with TRD were randomized to NO group (one-hour inhalation of 50% NO/50% oxygen) or placebo group (50% air/50% oxygen).

Background And Aims: Depression often triggers addictive behaviors such as Internet addiction. In this network analysis study, we assessed the association between Internet addiction and residual depressive symptoms in patients suffering from clinically stable recurrent depressive disorder (depression hereafter).
Materials And Methods: In total, 1,267 depressed patients were included.

The association between coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccine acceptance and perceived stigma of having a mental illness is not clear. This study examined the association between COVID-19 vaccine acceptance and perceived stigma among patients with recurrent depressive disorder (depression hereafter) using network analysis. Participants were 1149 depressed patients (842 men, 307 women) who completed survey measures of perceived stigma and COVID-19 vaccine attitudes.

Nitrous oxide (NO), an N-methyl-D-aspartate glutamate receptor antagonist, has demonstrated a rapid-onset antidepressant effect for treatment-resistant depression (TRD) preliminarily in the United States. This study aimed to test the efficacy and safety of NO for TRD patients in China. In this double-blinded, placebo-controlled trial, 44 patients with TRD were randomized to receive a one-hour inhalation of a mixture of either 50% NO/50% oxygen (NO group) or 50% air/50% oxygen (placebo group).

Background: Not all adolescents who have endured childhood trauma will develop depressive symptom, nor will they all experience the same level of depressive symptom. According to previous research, cognitive emotion regulation strategies may explain a portion of the variance. Observe the connection between childhood trauma and depressive symptom and investigate whether cognitive emotion regulation strategies mediate or moderate this association.

Background: Internet addiction (IA) is associated with mental health problems but its impact on quality of life (QOL) is understudied. We examined the prevalence of IA and its association with QOL in clinically stable patients with major depressive disorder (MDD).
Methods: In a cross-sectional survey between September 2020 and July 2021, the Young's Internet Addiction Test (IAT), the Patient Health Questionnaire-2 (PHQ-2) and the World Health Organization Quality of Life Brief version scale (WHOQOL-BREF) were administered to 1267 patients with MDD.
Objective: There is no objective method to diagnose major depressive disorder (MDD). This study explored the neuroimaging biomarkers using the support vector machine (SVM) method for the diagnosis of MDD.
Methods: 52 MDD patients and 45 healthy controls (HCs) were involved in resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rs-fMRI) scanning.

Objective: To examine whether early symptom improvement can predict eventual remission following electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) with ketamine plus propofol (ketofol) anesthesia in patients with treatment-resistant depression (TRD).
Methods: Thirty Han Chinese subjects suffering from TRD were administered ketofol anesthesia during ECT. Remission was defined as a score of ≤7 on the 17-item Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAMD-17).

Depressive disorders and internet addiction (IA) are often comorbid. The aims of this study were to examine the network structure of IA in patients with major depressive disorders (MDD) and explore the association between IA and quality of life (QoL) in this population. This was a multicenter, cross-sectional survey.

The difficulty in timely evaluating patient response to antidepressants has brought great challenge to the treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD). Some studies found that the electroencephalogram (EEG) microstates might be a reliable marker to evaluate patient response to treatment. The present study aims to evaluate the relationship between EEG microstate parameters and MDD symptoms before and after treatment to identify predictive biological markers for patient response.

Background: Although common variants in a large collection of patients are associated with increased risk for bipolar disorder (BD), studies have only been able to predict 25%-45% of risks, suggesting that lots of variants that contribute to the risk for BD haven't been identified. Our study aims to identify novel BD risk genes.
Methods: We performed whole-exome sequencing of 27 individuals from 6 BD multi-affected Chinese families to identify candidate variants.
The efficacy and safety of adjunctive nonconvulsive electrotherapy (NET) for patients with depression are undetermined. This systematic review was conducted to examine the efficacy and safety of adjunctive NET for patients with depression. Chinese (WanFang and Chinese Journal Net) and English (PubMed, EMBASE, PsycINFO and the Cochrane Library) databases were systematically searched from their inception until Jan 27, 2021 by three independent investigators.

Background: The β2 subunit of the voltage-gated l-type calcium channel gene(CACNB2) rs11013860 polymorphism is a putative genetic susceptibility marker for bipolar disorder (BD). However, the neural effects of CACNB2 rs11013860 in BD are largely unknown.
Methods: Forty-six bipolar patients with first-episode mania and eighty-three healthy controls (HC) were genotyped for CACNB2 rs11013860 and were scanned with a 3.
