The study aimed to analyze differentially expressed lncRNAs in a model of cardiac hypertrophy, specially focusing on the molecular mechanisms of lncRNA NONMMUT023529 (lncRNA N29) in myocardial hypertrophy. Based on gene microarray results, RT-qPCR validation confirmed that lncRNA N29 was significantly upregulated in TAC-induced mice cardiac tissues. Echocardiographic assessments further verified that silencing lncRNA N29 led to a marked improvement in cardiac function, which aligned with the pathological findings revealed by H&E and Masson staining.

In this study, we introduce dynamic covalent nanonetworks (dcNNWs) synthesized through a one-pot, four-component reaction-induced self-assembly method using polyamines, 2-formylphenylboronic acid, epigallocatechin gallate, and alendronate. The formation of iminoboronate bonds drives the creation of dcNNWs, allowing controlled release in the periodontitis microenvironment.

The significant challenge in achieving regeneration for conventional molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) restricts their promising application in continuous monitoring of biochemical molecules closely related to human health, especially nonelectroactive molecules. This is because they are either limited to a single use or require removal of imprinted templates through chemical washing steps, which is clearly impractical for sustainable monitoring. Here, a class of regenerable MIP biosensors, taking nonelectroactive branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) as templates and methyldopa as a functional monomer, was engineered to achieve repeatable regeneration and target recognition.

The weakening/loss of the stop coda in checked tone syllables (also known as "Ru syllable opening") may lead to a subsequent merger of tonal contrasts in Chinese. This study examined the role of acoustic cues in checked-unchecked tone merging in the Qixian Jin dialect by comparing three age groups. Results showed that duration served as a robust cue for the tonal contrast regardless of age, whereas glottalization did not.

The "Magic Methyl" effect has received tremendous interest in medicinal chemistry due to the significant pharmacological and physical modification of properties that have been observed upon introducing a methyl group, especially, a stereogenic methyl group into potential chiral drug candidates. The prevalence of stereogenic β-methyl ketone structural motifs in bioactive compounds and natural products has long motivated the development of enantioselective strategies toward their synthesis. Herein, we have rationally designed a Rh-catalyzed asymmetric monohydrogenation of readily-available β'-methylene conjugated enones with high efficiency and remarkable site-selectivity and enantioselectivity control for the practical construction of enantioenriched β'-methyl unsaturated enones that are difficult to access by other methods.

A Hydrolytically Stable Metal-Organic Framework for Simultaneous Desulfurization and Dehydration of Wet Flue Gas.

Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have great prospects as adsorbents for industrial gas purification, but often suffer from issues of water stability and competitive water adsorption. Herein, we present a hydrolytically stable MOF that could selectively capture and recover trace SO from flue gas, and exhibits remarkable recyclability in the breakthrough experiments under wet flue-gas conditions, due to its excellent resistance to the corrosion of SO and the water-derived capillary forces. More strikingly, its SO capture efficiency is barely influenced by the increasing humidity, even if the pore filling with water is reached.
