The comprehensive performance of the state-of-the-art solid-state electrolytes (SSEs) cannot match the requirements of commercial applications, and constructing an organic-inorganic composite electrolyte on a porous electrode is an effective coping strategy. However, there are few studies focused on the influence of inorganic ceramics on the polymerization of multi-organic components. In this study, it was found that the addition of LiLaZrTaO (LLZO) weakens the interaction between different polymers and makes organic and inorganic components contact directly in the solid electrolyte.

An supramolecular self-assembly in the subcellular organelles could provide a new strategy to treat diseases. Herein, we report a protonation-activated supramolecular self-assembly system in the lysosomes, which could destabilize the lysosome membrane, resulting in the selective suppression of cancer cells. In this system, pyridyl-functionalized tetraphenylethylene (TPE-Py) was protonated in the lysosomes of A549 lung cancer cells to form octahedron-like structures with cucurbit[8]uril (CB[8]), which impaired the integrity of the lysosome membrane, resulting in selective suppression of cancer cells.

Cellular dynamic nuclear polarization (DNP) has been an effective means of overcoming the intrinsic sensitivity limitations of solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance (ssNMR) spectroscopy, thus enabling atomic-level biomolecular characterization in native environments. Achieving DNP signal enhancement relies on doping biological preparations with biradical polarizing agents (PAs). Unfortunately, PA performance within cells is often limited by their sensitivity to the reductive nature of the cellular lumen.

Despite the ubiquity of alkylboronic acids in organic synthesis, their utility as alkyl radical precursors in visible-light-induced photocatalytic reactions is limited by their high oxidation potentials. In this study, we demonstrated that an inorganophosphorus compound can modulate the oxidation potentials of alkylboronic acids so that they can act as alkyl radical precursors. We propose a mechanism based on the results of fluorescence quenching experiments, electrochemical experiments, B and P NMR spectroscopy, and other techniques.

CoF, with a relatively high theoretical capacity (553 mA h g), has been attracting increasing attention in the energy storage field. However, a facile and controllable synthesis of monodispersed CoF and CoF-based nano-heterostructures have been rarely reported. In this direction, an eco-friendly and precisely controlled colloidal synthesis strategy to grow uniformly sized CoF nanorods and LiF-tipped CoF-nanorod heterostructures based on a seeded-growth method is established.

It is crucial to characterize and control the band alignment in semiconducting vdWHs, which determines the electronic and optoelectronic properties. The future success of optoelectronic devices will require improved electronic property control techniques, such as using an external electric field or strain engineering, to change the electronic structures directly.

A serendipitous and highly efficient approach for the construction of a variety of δ-carboline derivatives was developed through base-promoted cascade β-F-elimination/electrocyclization/Diels-Alder/retro-Diels-Alder reaction of -2,2,2-trifluoroethylisatin ketoimine esters with alkynes in good to high yields with excellent regio-/chemoselectivity control. Moreover, a reasonable reaction pathway was proposed, which was in accordance with the prepared reaction intermediate and control experiment results. The δ-carboline product could be easily converted into a new chiral Py-box-type ligand through simple synthetic transformations.

Three physical parameters of the antioxidant XH, homolytic bond dissociation free energy Δ (XH), self-exchange HAT reaction activation free energy Δ , and thermo-kinetic parameter Δ (XH), were used to evaluate the antioxidant ability of XH in thermodynamics, kinetics, and thermo-kinetics. By comparing Δ (XH), Δ and Δ (XH) of these five bioactive antioxidants to release hydrogen atoms, it is easy to find that iAscH is the best hydrogen atom donor both thermodynamically and kinetically among these antioxidants.

metal-templated (hydrazone) condensation also called subcomponent self-assembly of 4,6-dihydrazino-pyrimidine, -vanillin and dysprosium ions resulted in the formation of discrete hexa- or dodecanuclear metallosupramolecular Dy(L) or Dy(L) aggregates resulting from second-order template effects of the base and the lanthanide counterions used in these processes. XRD analysis revealed unique circular helical or tetragonal bipyramid architectures in which the bis(hydrazone) ligand L adopts different conformations and shows remarkable differences in its mode of metal coordination. While a molecule of trimethylamine acts as a secondary template that fills the void of the Dy(L) assembly, sodium ions take on this role for the formation of heterobimetallic Dy(L) by occupying vacant coordination sites, thus demonstrating that these processes can be steered in different directions upon subtle changes of reaction conditions.
