Single dyes typically exhibit limited light absorption in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). Thus, cosensitization using two or more dyes to enhance light-harvesting efficiency has been explored; however, the aggregation of dyes can adversely affect electron injection capabilities. This study focused on the design and synthesis of three dyes with a common carbazole donor for DSSCs: , , and .

Reversibility of metallic Zn anode serves as the corner stone for the development of aqueous Zn metal battery, which motivates scrutinizing the electrolyte-Zn interface. As the representative organic zinc salt, zinc trifluorosulfonate (Zn(OTf)) facilitates a broad class of aqueous electrolytes, however, the stability issue of Zn anode remains crucial. The great challenge lies in the lack of Zn anode protection by the pristinely formed surface structure in aqueous Zn(OTf) electrolytes.

Exosomes have emerged as a promising noninvasive biomarker for early cancer diagnosis due to their ability to carry specific bioinformation related to cancer cells. However, accurate detection of trace amount of cancer-derived exosomes in complex blood remains a significant challenge. Herein, an ultra-highly sensitive SERS sensor, powered by the branched hybridization chain reaction (bHCR) and tetrahedral DNA-based trivalent aptamer (triApt-TDN), has been proposed for precise detection of cancer-derived exosomes.

Medical Concept Normalization (MCN) is a crucial process for deep information extraction and natural language processing tasks, which plays a vital role in biomedical research. Although MCN in English has achieved significant research achievements, Chinese medical concept normalization (CMCN) remains insufficiently explored due to its complex syntactic structure and the paucity of Chinese medical semantic and ontology resources. In recent years, deep learning has been extensively applied across numerous natural language processing tasks, owing to its robust learning capabilities, adaptability, and transferability.

Advancing cathode materials is crucial for the broader application of aqueous zinc-ion batteries (ZIBs) in energy storage systems. This study presents amorphous H/VO (HVO), a novel cathode material engineered by substituting H for Mg in MgVO (MgVO), designed to enhance performance of ZIBs. Initial exploration of MgVO through ab initio molecular dynamics (AIMD) simulations and density functional theory (DFT) calculations revealed a favorable Mg and Zn exchange mechanism.

In this paper, a kind of layered metastructure (LMS) is proposed by stacking multi-layer dielectric plates. By adjusting the dielectric constant of medium A (set as ), the Brewster angle (BA) of incident electromagnetic waves (EMWs) has been directly selected. At the same time, the operating band of the above angle selection (AS) can be extended to the whole visible light band (VLB) which covers 400 nm to 700 nm according to Bragg reflection.

Ferroelectrics are essential in memory devices for multi-bit storage and high-density integration. Ferroelectricity mainly exists in compounds but rare in single-element materials due to their lack of spontaneous polarization in the latter. However, we report a room-temperature ferroelectricity in quasi-one-dimensional Te nanowires.

Nowadays, metamaterial absorbers still suffer from limited bandwidth, poor bandwidth scalability, and insufficient modulation depth. In order to solve this series of problems, we propose a metamaterial absorber based on graphene, VO, gallium silver sulfide, and gold-silver alloy composites with dual-control modulation of temperature and electric field. Then we further investigate the optical switching performance of this absorber in this work.

Glassy hybrid metal halides have emerged as promising materials in recent years due to their high structural adjustability and low melting points, offering unique merits that overcome the limitations of their crystalline and polycrystalline counterparts as well as other conventional amorphous semiconductors. This review article comprehensively explores the structural characteristics, electronic properties, and chemical coordination of hybrid metal halides, emphasizing their role in the glass transition from the crystalline phase to the amorphous phase. We examine the intrinsic disorder within the amorphous phase that facilitates light transmission and discuss recent advances in device architecture and interface engineering by optimizing the charge transport of glassy hybrid metal halides for high-quality applications.

Unlike circular cell coverage in public land mobile communications, narrow-strip-shaped cell coverage should be considered in high-speed railway (HSR) communications. Moreover, for the coverage analysis in HSR communications, most works ignore the effect of small-scale fading, which results in an inaccurate coverage performance evaluation. In this paper, we focus on the coverage analysis for HSR communications with narrow-strip-shaped cells over the Suzuki fading channel, where the composite channel fading includes path loss, lognormal shadowing, and Rayleigh-distributed small-scale fading.
