January 2025

Department of Organ Transplantation, The Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University, Minde Road No. 1, Nanchang, 330006, Jiangxi, China.

Multimorbidity, therapeutic complexity, and polypharmacy, which greatly increases the risk of drug-drug interactions (DDIs) and adverse medical outcomes, have become important and growing challenges in clinical practice. Statins are frequently prescribed to manage post-transplant dyslipidemia and reduce overall cardiovascular risk in solid organ transplant recipients. This study aimed to determine whether rosuvastatin has significant DDIs with tacrolimus (the first-line immunosuppressant) and to evaluate the risk of hepatotoxicity associated with concomitant therapy.

Liver fibrosis, a hallmark of chronic liver diseases, is characterized by excessive extracellular matrix (ECM) deposition and scar tissue formation. Current antifibrotic nanomedicines face significant limitations, including poor penetration into fibrotic tissue, rapid clearance, and suboptimal therapeutic efficacy. The dense fibrotic ECM acts as a major physiological barrier, necessitating the development of a targeted delivery strategy to achieve effective therapeutic outcomes.

Skin ageing, driven predominantly by oxidative stress from reactive oxygen species (ROS) induced by environmental factors like ultraviolet A (UVA) radiation, accounts for approximately 80% of extrinsic skin damage. L-glutathione (GSH), a potent antioxidant, holds promise in combating UVA-induced oxidative stress. However, its instability and limited penetration through the stratum corneum hinder its topical application.

Unveiling the Role of in Cotton Salt Stress Tolerance: A Comprehensive Genomic and Functional Analysis of Genes.

Plants (Basel)

January 2025

Institute of Modern Agriculture, School of Life Sciences, Nantong University, Nantong 226019, China.

Proline, a critical osmoregulatory compound, is integral to various plant stress responses. The gene, which encodes the rate-limiting enzyme in proline biosynthesis, known as ∆1-pyrroline-5-carboxylate synthetase, is fundamental to these stress response pathways. While the functions of genes in plants have been extensively documented, their specific roles in cotton remain inadequately characterized.

Quantum dot-polymer composites have the advantages of high luminescent quantum yield (PLQY), narrow emission half-peak full width (FWHM), and tunable emission spectra, and have broad application prospects in display and lighting fields. Research on quantum dots embedded in polymer films and plates has made great progress in both synthesis technology and optical properties. However, due to the shortcomings of quantum dots, such as cadmium selenide (CdSe), indium phosphide (InP), lead halide perovskite (LHP), poor water, oxygen, and light stability, and incapacity for large-scale synthesis, their practical application is still restricted.
