Inspired by the high affinity of copper with DNA and RNA, a uracil-copper catalytic system was developed to promote ring-opening allylation of cyclopropanols with allylic alcohols under water-tolerant conditions. A new C-OH bond-breaking model can well resolve the trade-off between the need for acidic activators for C(allyl)-OH bond cleavage and the demand for strong basic conditions for generating homoenolates. Therefore, Morita-Baylis-Hillman alcohols, rather than their pre-activated versions, could be incorporated directly into dehydrative cross-coupling with cyclopropanols delivering water as the only by-product.

Solution-processable organic conjugated molecules (OCMs) consist of a series of aromatic units linked by σ-bonds, which present a relatively freedom intramolecular motion and intermolecular re-arrangement under external stimulation. The cross-linked strategy provides an effective platform to obtain OCMs network, which allows for outstanding optoelectronic, excellent physicochemical properties, and substantial improvement in device fabrication. An unsaturated double carbon-carbon bond (C = C) is universal segment to construct crosslinkable OCMs.

As a typical type of organic flocculant, chitosan is limited by its poor water solubility and narrow pH range application. Grafting modification can improve chitosan's solubility and availability through linking macromolecular chains with other types of water-soluble groups or functional side groups. In this study, dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) was used to active the surface of chitosan, then activated chitosan was polymerized with acrylamide to synthesize a chitosan-based flocculant, chitosan-acrylamide (CS-AM).

Key Laboratory of Flexible Electronics (KLoFE) and Institute of Advanced Materials (IAM), School of Flexible Electronics (Future Technologies), Nanjing Tech University (Nanjing Tech), 30 South Puzhu Road, Nanjing, Jiangsu, 211816, China.

Narrow bandgap cubic formamidine perovskite (α-FAPbI) is widely studied for its potential to achieve record‑breaking efficiency. However, its high preparation difficulty caused by lattice instability is criticized. A popular strategy for stabilizing the α-FAPbI lattice is to replace intrinsic FA or I with smaller ions of MA, Cs, Rb, and Br, whereas this generally leads to broadened optical bandgap and phase separation.

Key Laboratory of Flexible Electronics (KLOFE), Institute of Advanced Materials (IAM) & School of Flexible Electronics (Future Technologies), Jiangsu National Synergetic Innovation Center for Advanced Materials (SICAM), Nanjing Tech University (Nanjing Tech), Nanjing, Jiangsu 211816, China.

Perovskite nanocrystals (PNCs) have attracted substantial attention due to their inspiring intrinsic merits such as low cost, high performance, and solution processability, but when it comes to the usage of blends of different colored PNCs with the purpose of covering the broadband spectrum field, the high degree of instability remains a major bottleneck. Herein, we report a family of dendritic ammonium ligands that act as stiff shell-encapsulating PNCs for improving their stability and suppressing ion permeability in mixed colloidal PNC solutions. The as-synthesized ligand-encapsulated PNCs notably achieve near-unity photoluminescence quantum yields (PLQYs) and strongly resist the unwanted ion exchange reaction under aggressive anion source attack.

Ionogels are extremely soft ionic materials that can undergo large deformation while maintaining their structural and functional integrity. Ductile ionogels can absorb energy and resist fracture under external load, making them an ideal candidate for wearable electronics, soft robotics, and protective gear. However, developing high-modulus ionogels with extreme toughness remains challenging.

Introduction: The electroencephalographic (EEG) based on the motor imagery task is derived from the physiological electrical signal caused by the autonomous activity of the brain. Its weak potential difference changes make it easy to be overwhelmed by noise, and the EEG acquisition method has a natural limitation of low spatial resolution. These have brought significant obstacles to high-precision recognition, especially the recognition of the motion intention of the same upper limb.

Herein, a comprehensive investigation is performed to research the thermal runaway features of large-format power lithium-ion cells under various heating patterns (2 kW electric heating oven and 600 W electric heating plate) and capacities (60, 150, and 180 Ah). Although the electric heating plate induces the cell to encounter thermal runaway earlier in comparison with the electric heating oven, the combustion does not appear for the former case since the compact stacking of the electric heating plate restrains the heat release of the heater such that the surrounding temperature is too low to induce the ignition of the thermal runaway combustibles. Besides that, it is interesting to find that the color of the ejected products under the electric heating plate condition becomes shallower as the thermal runaway proceeds, which implies that the ejecta in the initial of thermal runaway is mixed with quantities of solid particles and the proportion would gradually decrease.

Cascade reactions can improve the reaction efficiency and selectivity while reducing steps of separation and purification, thereby promoting the development of "green chemistry". However, compatibility issues in cascade reactions pose significant constraints on the development of this field, particularly concerning the compatibility of diverse catalyst types, reaction conditions, and reaction rates.
