In this study, we evaluated C-kit immunohistochemical expression and C-kit and platelet derived growth factor receptor A (PDGFRA) gene mutations in triple negative breast cancer. 171 cases were analyzed by immunohistochemical staining for the expression of C-kit and 45 cases, including 10 C-kit negative cases and 35 C-kit positive cases, were performed for C-kit gene mutations in exons 9, 11, 13 and 17 and PDGFRA gene mutations in exons 12 and 18. C-kit expression was detected in 42.

The aim of this study is to compare the operative parameters and outcomes of conventional CO2-pneumoperitoneum (PP) versus gasless abdominal wall-lifting (AWL) for laparoscopic surgery. The literature databases of PubMed, Google Scholar and Cochrane Library were searched for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that had compared the CO2-PP approach with that of gasless AWL for laparoscopic surgery and which had been published between 1995 and 2012. Data for the operative parameters (i.

Objective: The Ras homolog enriched in brain gene (Rheb) is a center player within the insulin/Rheb/Mammalian Target of Rapamycin (mTOR) pathway, and plays a critical role in regulating cellular growth. Rheb-/- embryos have been reported to die around midgestation, due to the defects of the development of the cardiovascular system. Recent studies from ours and another group consistently showed that Rheb1 was indispensable for the cardiac hypertrophic growth after early postnatal period.

Purpose: To study the effect of different ways of pulling the drilling burs and cooling systems on alveolar bone temperature of the surgical area, and explore the changes of temperature field in dental implants.

Methods: Forty-eight unified standard artificial (nylon) bone blocks were fabricated and divided into 6 groups according to different drilling pulling ways and cooling systems. The changes of bone temperature field were detected in 6 groups, and the highest temperature in temperature field was measured and recorded.

The aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AHR) gene is involved in the response to polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) exposure. To investigate the hypothesis that the genetic variants in the AHR gene might be a causal genetic susceptibility to PAH-DNA adduct formation and glioma risk, we conducted a case-control study of 384 glioma cases and 384 cancer-free controls to explore the association between six common single-nucleotide polymorphisms of the AHR gene and glioma risk. Using PAH-DNA adducts as biomarkers, we then evaluated the association between PAH-DNA adduct levels and glioma risk based on a tissue microarray including 11 controls and 77 glioma patients.

Purpose: To investigate the roles of hTERT and p53 protein in malignant changes of oral mucosal precancerous lesions and the relations between hTERT and p53.

Methods: The expression of hTERTmRNA and p53 were measured using in situ hybridization and immunohistochemical assay in 9 cases of oral mucosal hyperplasia, 11 cases of light dysplasia, 10 cases of medium dysplasia, 9 cases of carcinomas in situ and 11 cases of squamous cell carcinomas. The results were processed by medical photographic system, and analyzed statistically by one-way ANOVA.

The recovery of sensibility in 29 cases non-neurolorized tissue flaps and 4 cases neurolorized flaps have been studied clinically. The results showed that:the sensory function started to return from 3 months after operation and recovered gradually.Pain sensibility recovered first, followed by tactile, thermal and two-point discrimination sensibility.
