Article Synopsis
  • Immune checkpoint inhibitors are cancer drugs that enhance T cell responses but can cause immune-related side effects, particularly affecting the skin.
  • A case study reports a 78-year-old man who developed systemic eczema dermatitis after receiving a specific combination treatment for advanced gastric cancer with sintilimab, Tigio, and oxaliplatin.
  • The eczema cleared up after treatment with methylprednisolone, and the patient underwent surgery, which revealed a complete response to the cancer.

To investigate the feasibility of detection of apoptosis in vivo by 99mTc-HYNIC-Annexin V, Annexin V was labeled with 99mTc through HYNIC. 18 New Zealand rabbits implanted VX-2 were randomly divided into control (n = 8) and paclitaxel (PAC, n = 10) groups, given 2 mL/kg of normal saline or 2.4 mg/kg of PAC intravenously.

Hyaluronidases (HAases) are enzymes that degrade hyaluronic acid (HA) in the animal kingdom. The HAases-HA system is crucial for HA homeostasis and plays a significant role in biological processes and extracellular matrix (ECM)-related pathophysiological conditions. This study aims to explore the role of inhibiting the HAases-HA system in acute kidney injury (AKI).

Background: The study was designed to investigate effects of single intravenous injection of esketamine on the incidence of postpartum depression (PPD) after labor analgesia and explore the potential mechanisms.

Methods: A total of 120 women who underwent labor analgesia by epidural analgesia pump were enrolled and divided into two groups randomly. Esketamine at a dose of 0.

Background: Patients with cognitive dysfunction may present with significantly prolonged the P2 wave latency of flash visual evoked potential. However, no studies have been reported on whether the P2 wave latency of flash visual evoked potential is prolonged in patients with subcortical arteriosclerotic encephalopathy (SAE).

Objective: To examine the relationship between flash visual evoked potential P2 wave latency (FVEP-P2 wave latency) and cognitive impairment in patients with SAE.

BMAL1 regulates MUC1 overexpression in ovalbumin-induced asthma.

April 2023

Department of Respiratory Medicine, Putuo Hospital, Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Shanghai 200062, China. Electronic address:

Asthma often presents with a daily rhythm; however, the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. Circadian rhythm genes have been proposed to regulate inflammation and mucin expression. Here, ovalbumin (OVA)-induced mice and serum shock human bronchial epidermal cells (16HBE) were used in in vivo and in vitro models, respectively.

Background: Coronary artery disease (CAD) is a common coronary artery disease. The functional mechanism of circular RNA (circRNA) HECT, C2 and WW domain containing E3 ubiquitin protein ligase 2 (circ_HECW2, hsa_circ_0057583) in ox-LDL-treated human cardiac microvascular endothelial cells (hCMECs) is still unclear.

Methods: Expression levels of circ_HECW2, microRNA (miR)-942-5p, and toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) were analyzed by quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) and western blot assays.

Objective: To assess the efficacy of Erzhu Yiren Decoction in treating gastric ulcer of spleen deficiency and dampness-heat and its effect on serum NO, EGF, and PGE2 levels.

Methods: A retrospective study was conducted among 64 patients with gastric ulcers of spleen deficiency and dampness heat admitted to our hospital from September 2019 to May 2020, and they were divided at a ratio of 1 : 1 into an observation group (rabeprazole sodium enteric-coated capsules plus Erzhu Yiren Decoction) and a control group (rabeprazole sodium enteric-coated capsules) based on different treatment methods. The clinical symptom scores, the effective rate of ulcer healing under gastroscopy, the quality of ulcer healing (QOUH), serum nitric oxide (NO), endothelial growth factor (EGF), and prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) levels were compared between the two groups.

Background: To find the potential intersections between the differentially expressed proteins and abnormally expressed genes in gastric cancer (GC) patients.

Methods: Gastric cancer tissue and adjacent normal mucosa tissue were used for iTRAQ analysis. Gene ontology (GO), Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway analysis, and protein-protein interaction (PPI) analysis were used to evaluate gene function.

Background: The effects of acupuncture on in vitro fertilization (IVF) outcomes remain controversial. And the variation in participant, interventions, outcomes studied, and trial design may relate to the efficacy of adjuvant acupuncture.

Methods: We searched digital databases for relevant studies, including Embase, PubMed, Cochrane Library and some Chinese databases up to December 2018, for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) evaluating the effects of acupuncture on women undergoing IVF.

Recurrence or metastasis of colorectal cancer (CRC) is common following surgery and/or adjuvant therapy, particularly in patients with an advanced stage of the cancer. Identifying key molecular markers of CRC is beneficial for early diagnosis and early treatment, which may eventually improve the prognosis of patients with CRC. Isobaric mass tags for relative and absolute quantification (iTRAQ) in combination with multidimensional liquid chromatography and tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) were used to identify differentially expressed proteins between CRC tissues and paired adjacent normal mucosa.
