To address the prevailing scenario where comprehensive susceptibility assessments of ground deformation disasters primarily rely on knowledge-driven models, with weight judgments largely founded on expert subjective assessments, this study initially explores the feasibility of integrating data-driven models into the evaluation of urban ground collapse and subsidence. Hangzhou city, characterized by filled soil and silty sand, was selected as the representative study area. Nine pertinent evaluation factors were identified, and the RF-BP neural network coupling model was employed to assess the susceptibility of ground collapse and subsidence in the study area, the results indicate that the stacked model achieved a 7% increase in AUC value compared to the single model.

As the demand for regional geological disaster risk assessments in large cities continues to rise, our study selected Hangzhou, one of China's megacities, as a model to evaluate the susceptibility to two major geological hazards in the region: ground collapse and ground subsidence. Given that susceptibility assessments for such disasters mainly rely on knowledge-driven models, and data-driven models have significant potential for application, we proposed a high-accuracy Random Forest-Back Propagation Neural Network Coupling Model. By using nine evaluation factors selected based on field surveys and expert recommendations, along with disaster data, the model's predictive results indicate a 3-40% improvement in model performance metrics such as AUC, accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score, compared to single models and traditional SVM and logistic regression models.

Aiming at the characteristics that the signal noise ratio (SNR) gradually decreases from the near to far range of the swath, an adaptive phase filtering algorithm based on Goldstein filtering and combined with multiple quality-guided graphs was proposed. Firstly, the components used to determine the filtering parameters were obtained through residue density, pseudo-coherence coefficient and pseudo-SNR, the three quality-guided graphs. Then, the filter parameters were calculated by weighting the three components.

Objective: This study aimed to characterize multivariate trajectories of blood pressure [systolic blood pressure (SBP) and diastolic blood pressure (DBP)] jointly and examine their impact on incident cardiovascular disease (CVD) among a Chinese elderly medical examination population.
Methods: A total of 13,504 individuals without CVD during 2018-2020 were included from the Chinese geriatric physical examination cohort study. The group-based trajectory model was used to construct multi-trajectories of systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure.
The evolution and mechanism of ground collapse caused by underground water pipeline leakage have become increasingly significant as more urban areas experience collapses. Based on the principle of similarity, and considering the engineering context of road collapses in Anqing City, Anhui Province, this study designed a 3 m × 2 m × 2 m rupture-collapse model test device. Digital Image Correlation (DIC) technology was employed to investigate the erosion process and collapse mechanisms caused by underground pipeline leakage.

The mechanics of the trabecular bone is related to its structure; this work aimed to propose a simple projection method to clarify the correlation between the principal mechanical direction (PMD) and the principal microstructural direction (PMSD) of trabecular bones from osteoporotic femoral heads. A total of 529 trabecular cubes were cropped from five osteoporotic femoral heads. The micro computed tomography (μCT) sequential images of each cube were first projected onto the three Cartesian coordinate planes to have three overlapped images, and the trabecular orientation distribution in the three images was analyzed.

It is of great importance to study the detachment/attachment behaviors of cells (cancer cell, immune cell, and epithelial cell), as they are closely related with tumor metastasis, immunoreaction, and tissue development at variety scales. To characterize the detachment/attachment during the interaction between cells and substrate, some researchers proposed using cell traction force (CTF) as the indicator. To date, various strategies have been developed to measure the CTF.

The co-occurrence of high As and F concentrations in saline groundwater in arid and semi-arid regions has attracted considerable attention. However, the factors determining the elevated concentrations of the two elements in surface water in these regions have not been sufficiently studied, and their implications for the poor-quality of local groundwater (high levels of As, F, and salinity) are unknown. A total of 18 water samples were collected from Wuliangsu Lake, irrigation/drainage channels, and the Huanghe (i.

The Late Permian witnessed a Permian Chert Event (PCE) and distinctive oceanic geochemical fluctuations, such as an ocean acidification event, large-scale volcanic eruption, and rapid global warming. However, the links between siliceous rock formation mechanism, ocean, and climate changes are rarely discussed. In this article, two well-preserved deeper-water sections of the Dalong Formation from the Lower Yangtze region in southeast China are selected for analysis.

Background: Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a major global health threat, particularly in China, contributing to over 40% of deaths. While sleep behaviors, sedentary behaviors, and physical activities are recognized as independent lifestyle risk factors for CVD, there remains limited understanding of specific movement behavior patterns and their CVD risks, especially considering sex-specific differences. This study examines movement behavior patterns among Chinese adults (40-75) and their associations with cardiovascular risk, with a focus on sleep, physical activity (PA), and sedentary behavior (SB).
