Objective: To identify the expression of protein which is characteristic of stem cell, induce the adipogenic differentiation in vitro by ASCs harvested from GFP transgenic mice, and to assess the possibility of constructing adipose tissue via the attachment of ASCs to type I collagen scaffold.
Methods: Inguinal fat pads from GFP transgenic mice were used for the isolation of ASCs. Expression of CD29, CD34, CD45, CD133 and HLA-DR were detected by flow cytometry.

Objective: To investigate an ideal method for finger reconstruction with extended the second toe flap transfer.
Methods: The second toe free flap was created, combined with an pedicled skin flap from the fibular side of the great toe inlaid in the ventral side of the second toe, a double-wing flap and the distal part of the metatarsal bone. The composite free flap was transferred by vascular anastomosis for finger reconstruction.

Objective: To generate recombinant adenovirus with human Fas gene and transfect the Fas gene into keloid-derived fibroblasts to take place of the dysfunctional Fas gene, reconstruct the blocked Fas signal.
Methods: We used a new bacterial homologous recombination system (Ad-Easy system) to construct recombinant adenovirus vector. Fas gene was cut down from the PMD-T-Fas plasmid and then transferred to track plasmid.

The purpose of this study was to understand the clinical significance of the morphology and blood supply of the falciform ligament in laparoscopic surgery. The structure, blood vessel distribution and anastomoses of the falciform ligament were observed in 20 cases of living laparoscopy, 30 cadaveric specimens injected with latex and five cadaveric specimens with Indian ink and hyaline. The falciform ligament was formed by two sides of peritoneum and its length, largest and smallest width were 8.

Objective: To investigate whether there are abnormal fibroblasts derived from the surrounding skin of keloids so that a more accurate therapy for keloids could be obtained.
Methods: Samples were taken for cell culture. When primary cells fully covered the culture bottle, the shape and distributing characteristics of fibroblasts were observed under the light microscope.

Objective: To explore the concrete mechanism which accounts for the different growth characteristics of normal skins and pathlogical scars and to identify if the mutations of Fas gene exist.
Methods: Six samples of normal skin, hypertrophic scars and keloids were collected. The means of cell culture was used, and only 6 - 10 passages fibroblasts were selected for experiment.

Objective: Apoptosis in organs of rats in early stage after polytrauma combined with shock was researched.
Methods: Sixty Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into six groups: normal control (A, n = 6), sham-operation (N, n = 6), single hemorrhagic shock (S, n = 6), two-site trauma/shock (B, n = 6), four-site trauma/shock (C, n = 6), and six-site trauma/shock (D, n = 30). Shock was kept 60 min by blood withdrawal.

Objective: To provide anatomy basis for a free latissimus dorsal muscular flap with the sensate nerve.
Methods: The structure of back and lateral chest area were dissected and the origin, alignment and distribution of the intercostals nerve within the area of latissimus dorsal muscular flap were observed in 40 adult cadaver specimens.
Results: The 5th to 10th lateral posterior branches of the thoracic nerve pierced from respective intercostal area near the axial anterior line and run a long distance in deep fascia.

Objective: The cause of and prophylactic measures for the complications of the frontalis aponeurosis flap suspension for correction of blepharoptosis were investigated to improve the operative results.
Methods: Five hundred and thirteen patients who were found to have complications after frontalis aponeurosis flap suspension for blepharoptosis were studied by follow-up examinations.
Results: Fourteen kinds of postoperative complications were found and cured.

To investigate the relationship of the HBV C gene mutations with the disease progress, the hotpoint mutations of pre- C stop28 and C region L97 were examined with restrictio-fragment-length-polymorphism (RFLP) technique in 91 hepatitis patients with diverse clinical features and HBe status. Both mutations were almost not seen in acute hepatitis B and chronic asymptomatic virus carriers; rarely in chronic persistent hepatitis and frequently in chronic active hepatitis (CAH) and active liver cirrhosis (ALC), accounting for 80% and 78% in CAH and ALC respectively. The pre-C mutant was mixed with wild strain in 11 of 31 patients who were HBeAg-positive CAH and ALC; on the other hand, the wild strain also coexisted with variant in anti-HBe-positive cases.
