This meta-analysis aimed to investigate the association between dietary mineral intake and the risk of bladder cancer. Relevant studies on bladder cancer and dietary mineral intake, including sodium, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, and zinc, were systematically identified through searches in Scopus and PubMed up to July 2024. Data from 12 studies were pooled using odds ratios (OR) and 95% confidence intervals (CI) with a random-effects model.

Establishment and validation of a nomogram for predicting the risk of syncope after craniomaxillofacial surgery.

Purpose: To explore the influencing factors of syncope in patients after plastic surgery, establish a syncope risk prediction model, and verify its accuracy.

Methods: A total of 265 patients undergoing craniomaxillofacial surgery were included and divided into a syncope group and non-syncope group. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to screen for risk factors of syncope, and R language was used to establish a risk prediction nomogram of syncope in craniomaxillofacial surgery patients.

Methods: Fifty-three patients were treated with KW-assisted IMN for extra-articular fractures of the distal tibia via the blocking screw technique or Poller screw (PS) technique. The operation time, number of fluoroscopies, number of blocking screws used, blood loss and time to union were compared between the two groups.
