Spontaneous isolated dissection of the iliac artery (SID-IA) is a rare vascular condition typically associated with trauma or connective tissue disorders. We present a unique case of a 39-year-old male without known risk factors or trauma history who presented with lower abdominal pain. Diagnostic imaging revealed SID-IA involving the right external iliac artery with thrombus formation.

The simplest of them is diagnostic pleural aspiration, and diagnostic techniques such as medical thoracoscopy are being performed more frequently than ever before. Objectives: To quantitatively assess vascularity changes of acute septic hips in infants using Doppler ultrasonography. To compare these findings with asymptomatic hips, and establish a correlation for accurate diagnosis between these findings.
Methods: In this prospective case-control study, we included all children under 1 year of age with a diagnosis of acute septic arthritis of the hip in the case group.

Knowledge about the pathophysiology of sepsis has sparked interest in extracorporeal therapies (ECT) which are intended to balance the dysregulation of the immune system by removing excessive levels of inflammatory mediators.
Aim: To review recent data on the use of ECT in sepsis and to assess their effects on various inflammatory and clinical outcomes.

We report the management of a 45-year-old man with a ring stuck in his dominant thumb for 3 weeks causing vascular and neural compromise and deep-seated infection. Previous reports have described rings embedded in the digits, though we were not able to find any reports of such rings causing ischaemia. We performed staged reconstruction to salvage the thumb.

Unlabelled: Coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19)-associated mucormycosis is on the rise in the Indian subcontinent. We report a unique case of cutaneous mucormycosis in a case of newly diagnosed young diabetic patient with severe COVID-19 pneumonia with post-COVID lung fibrosis. Neither did he have any preceding trauma or wound, nor was there any evidence of any secondary dissemination.
