Background: This study aims to investigate the diagnostic accuracy of adropin as a biomarker to exclude the diagnosis of acute pulmonary embolism (PE).
Methods: Patients admitted to the emergency department of a tertiary health centre between August 2019 and August 2020 and diagnosed with PE were included in this prospective cohort study. The amount of serum adropin was determined in patients with (PE) and compared with that of healthy volunteers.

Eye movements are guided by vestibular and visual information. The vestibulo-ocular knowledge of the vestibule includes eye movements in the opposite direction of head movements. This study investigated the effect of auditory "what" and "where" tasks on the visual "where" to evaluate the effects of cognitive tasks on eye movements.

Introduction: Tinnitus is a widely seen otological symptom that interferes with daily activities and causes discomfort. Tinnitus treatments can be classified into 4 main groups: pharmacological treatments, cognitive and behavioral therapy, psychological treatments, and combined treatment approaches made up of at least 2 of these 3 treatment methods.
Objective: The aim of this study was to assess whether it would be possible to develop an individualized treatment method of tinnitus by application of a combined tinnitus signal and music during sleep.

Objectives: The study was aimed at investigating the risk factors of using an intraaortic balloon pump (IABP) in coronary artery bypass surgery and presenting the authors' clinical experience of IABP use.
Material And Methods: The study included 1094 patients who underwent coronary artery bypass surgery at the authors' clinic between January 2009 and December 2011. A comparison was made between 17 patients in whom an IABP was used and 1077 patients in whom it was not used.

There are some studies about the toxic effect of some of the ingredients of the Castellani solution, but the ototoxic effect is not known. The current study was designed to investigate the ototoxicity experimentally.

Objective: To compare the short-term speech success of voice prosthesis (VP) among patients who underwent total laryngectomy or total laryngectomy in combination with neck dissection and those who received postoperative radiotherapy.
Materials And Methods: Thirty-two male patients treated for laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma were included. Nine patients underwent total laryngectomy and 23 underwent total laryngectomy combined with neck dissection, and 17 of the 23 with neck dissection were managed with postoperative radiotherapy (45-75 Gy).
