Eu activated ZnSiO red phosphor synthesized by pyrolysis technique at 1000ºC for one hour is reported. Upon excitation by 394 nm and 464 nm, the phosphor displays a distinct red emission peaking around 614 nm, a characteristic of f-f electronic transitions involving Eu ions.Incorporating alkali metal ions such as Li, Na and K into ZnSiO:Eu phosphor led to a remarkable increase in photoluminescence (PL) intensity.

(LiO)(SrO)(NdO)(BO)(GdO), where = 0, 3, 5, 7, and 10 mol%, glass was melt-quenched to test it as a laser source in the near-infrared (NIR) region. The structural modification, absorption spectra, Judd-Ofelt (J-O) parameters, luminescence spectra, radiative laser parameters, lifetimes, XRD, and FTIR spectra were studied. Luminescence spectra excited at = 584 nm revealed the highest intensity peak at 1073 nm due to the transition of F → I.

Four yeast strains, representing a novel anamorphic species, were isolated in Thailand. The two strains (ST-3660 and ST-3647) were obtained from two different estuarine water samples in a mangrove forest. Strain DMKU-FW1-37 was derived from a grease sample, and another strain (TSU57) was isolated from a fruiting body of sp.

The motivation for this research is that the emission spectra using directly pumped laser diodes have not yet been found. We want to explore the luminescence properties of a co-doped laser material utilizing a diode laser as an optical pump. The research method used standard melt-quench and was stimulated by a laser diode (808 and 980 nm).

Contextual fear conditioning (CFC) is mediated by a neural circuit that includes the hippocampus, prefrontal cortex, and amygdala, but the neurophysiological mechanisms underlying the regulation of CFC by neuromodulators remain unclear. Dopamine D1-like receptors (D1Rs) in this circuit regulate CFC and local synaptic plasticity, which is facilitated by synchronized oscillations between these areas. In rats, we determined the effects of systemic D1R blockade on CFC and oscillatory synchrony between dorsal hippocampus (DH), prelimbic (PL) cortex, basolateral amygdala (BLA), and ventral hippocampus (VH), which sends hippocampal projections to PL and BLA.

In the current study, the bismuth oxide (BiO) content was inter-substituted with gadolinium oxide (GdO) in sodium borate glass. Glass sample density and molar volume values show a reverse trend. The optical transparent radiation shielding glasses are more commonly used materials in hospitals or any hazardous radiation working environments, the glasses used in this work are more emphasized on their superior transmittance and acceptable for shielding materials for commercial purposes.

The aim of the work is to prepare (51-x)BO + 23CaF + 10LiO + 10NaO + 6BaO + xEuO glasses with various concentration, analyse the optical/radiative properties and compare with other reported literature. In this work, the Judd-Ofelt analysis was employed to evaluate oscillator strength, JO parameters. Using JO parameters, radiative properties of the prepared samples were evaluated to understand their branching ratios, stimulated emission cross-section and radiative lifetime.

This study describes an emetic food-borne intoxication associated with a group species and the characterization of the bacterial isolates from the incident in aspects of molecular tying, genetic factors, cytotoxicity, and pathogenic mechanisms relating to emetic illness. Through the polyphasic identification approach, all seven isolates obtained from food and clinical samples were identified as . According to multilocus sequence typing (MLST) analysis, intraspecific diversity was found within the isolates.

The effect of CeF concentration and γ-irradiation on the physical, optical and luminescence properties of GdO-BO-CeF glasses were studied in this work. Before irradiation, the addition of CeF in glass degraded the network connectivity observed from FTIR and possibly created the non-bridging oxygen (NBO) in glass structure. This NBO caused the reduction of Ce/Ce ratio in XANES, the red-shift in transmission spectra and the raise of refractive index with addition of CeF content.

Four yeast strains, representing one genus and two novel anamorphic yeast species, were isolated from pineapple leaves collected in Thailand. Analysis of the sequences of the D1/D2 domains of the large subunit (LSU) rRNA gene and the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) regions showed the two strains (DMKU-PAL186 and DMKU-PAL178) were closely related to the type strains of the and species, but with high nucleotide divergence. Two strains (DMKU-PAL39 and DMKU-PAL18) were found to be closely related to the type strains of , but with eight nucleotide substitutions in the D1/D2 domains and 26 nucleotide substitutions in the ITS regions.

(1) Since the obesity prevalence rate has been consistently increasing, it is necessary to find an effective way to prevent and treat it. Although progress is being made to reduce obesity in the young adult population, a better understanding of obesity-related metabolomics and related biochemical mechanisms is urgently needed for developing appropriate screening strategies. Therefore, the aim of this study is to identify the serum metabolic profile associated with young adult obesity and its metabolic phenotypes.

The increased prevalence of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) that is observed in women may involve sex differences in learned fear inhibition and medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC) function. PTSD is characterized by fear overgeneralization involving impaired fear regulation by safety signals. We recently found that males show fear discrimination and females show fear generalization involving reduced safety signalling after extended fear discrimination training.
