Unlabelled: Compression of the celiac artery (CA) associated with median arcuate ligament compression syndrome can result in aneurysms at the pancreaticoduodenal arcade. If the aneurysm ruptures, treatment with interventional radiology (IVR) is recommended. Subsequently, the median arcuate ligament (MAL) should be incised to prevent the recurrence of the aneurysm.

The redox state of human serum albumin (HSA) is reported to be an oxidative stress biomarker; however, its clinical use in cardiac disease has not yet been examined. This study aimed to investigate the relation between the redox state of HSA and exercise capacity, which is a robust prognostic factor, in patients with cardiovascular disease. This cross-sectional study included outpatients with cardiac disease.

Emergency laparoscopic trans-abdominal pre-peritoneal repair (TAPP) for irreducible inguinal hernia in Covid-19 patient: A case report and literature review.

Introduction: With the global pandemic of COVID-19 for over two years, we might have to proceed surgical operation of patients with COVID-19 infection because of its emergency. Here we present a case who received an emergency operation for an irreducible inguinal hernia with COVID-19. We safely performed trans-abdominal pre-peritoneal repair (TAPP) in one surgery without any problems.

[Feasibility and Clinical Benefit of Robot-assisted Minimally Invasive Direct Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery].

To overcome these disadvantages we started da Vinci robotic endoscopic LIMA harvesting for selected patients with standard sternotomy operation followed by robot-assisted MIDCAB.

Intrapleural Urokinase Injection after Medical Thoracoscopy for Empyema and Complicated Para-Pneumonic Effusion: A Case Series.

Empyema and complicated para-pneumonic effusion (CPPE) often require surgical intervention because of insufficient antibiotic effect and chest tube drainage. From January 2017 to September 2021, we encountered seven patients who underwent intrapleural urokinase injection after medical thoracoscopy for the treatment of empyema or CPPE. None of the seven patients required further surgical interventions or showed any complications associated with the therapeutic procedures.

Axillary Lymph Node Swelling After COVID-19 Booster Vaccination: Japanese Case Report and Literature Review.

Background/aim: COVID-19 has been a global pandemic for more than 2 years, and vaccination against COVID-19 using an mRNA vaccine is widespread. The COVID-19 vaccination can cause specific side-effects, such as axillary lymph node swelling; therefore, breast oncologists should pay attention to such occurrences. Initially, only two COVID-19 vaccinations were planned; however, in some countries third or fourth vaccines have been administered.

Background/aim: COVID-19 vaccination is now performed in most of the world to limit the spread of the disease. The first mRNA vaccine was approved in clinical settings and has specific side effects including axillary lymph node swelling, which can be misdiagnosed as breast cancer metastasis. The timing of axillary lymph node swelling and its duration are unclear.

A rare case of giant coronary artery ectasia associated with coronary artery aneurysm was recognized. A 69-year-old woman presented with an ischemic electrocardiogram changes during a medical check-up. Coronary computed tomography angiography showed right coronary artery (RCA) ectasia associated with a giant aneurysm originating from the distal RCA.

Early mortality of emergency surgery for acute type A aortic dissection in octogenarians and nonagenarians: A multi-center retrospective study.

Objectives: The clinical data on postoperative mortality and central nervous system (CNS) complications in older adults who underwent acute type A aortic dissection are limited. Background: Treatment with low-dose prasugrel might be more beneficial even in chronic stable coronary artery disease (CAD) patients treated with clopidogrel. We compared platelet reactivity between standard maintenance-dose and low-dose prasugrel in stable CAD patients.

Methods: This multicenter study enrolled 164 stable CAD patients receiving dual antiplatelet therapy with aspirin and clopidogrel.

[A Case of Rectal Cancer with Lymph Node Metastasis Diagnosed as Intramucosal Cancer].

The patient was a 62-year-old man in whom 0-Ⅱa plus Ⅱc lesions in Rs were identified during follow-up observation of multiple colorectal polyps that were found during colonoscopy performed for the examination of fecal occult blood. CT showed no lymphadenopathy or distant metastasis to other organs. Laparoscopic-assisted high anterior resection of the rectum was performed with a diagnosis of clinical stage Ⅰ.

Introduction: We report a case of a patient who underwent laparoscopic surgery for intestinal obstruction caused by the mesodiverticular band of Meckel's diverticulum, with pathological specimens showing ectopic pancreas.

Presentation Of Case: A 56-year-old woman presented to our hospital with complaints of abdominal pain and vomiting. Upon close examination, we suspected strangulated intestinal obstruction, and performed an emergency surgery.

Home Oxygen Therapy-Induced Bladder Rupture.

An 84-year-old man taking home oxygen therapy (HOT) for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) was brought to our emergency department because of cardiopulmonary arrest after connecting an oxygen cylinder to a urinary catheter at home. On physical examination, subcutaneous emphysema and abdominal distension were noted. The oxygen stored in the abdominal cavity seemed to induce abdominal compartment syndrome, so we decided to drain the oxygen.

Here we describe a case of severe aortic regurgitation with Behcet's disease in 51-year-old man who underwent aortic valve replacement and subannular patch reconstruction for suspected infectious endocarditis with severe aortic regurgitation and subannular abcess. Then we performed three times aortic valve replacement for recurrent prosthetic valve dehiscence.
