Acinic cell carcinoma (AciCC) may pose a diagnostic challenge, particularly on small biopsies and fine needle aspiration (FNA) because of its variable histology including potential high-grade transformation and its mimickers. Immunoreactivity with circumferential membranous staining for DOG1 can support the diagnosis of AciCC but is not entirely specific. A novel rearrangement t(4;9)(q13;q31) leading to up-regulation of nuclear receptor subfamily 4 group A member 3 (NR4A3) has been described in AciCC, is potentially detectable by fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) and may be useful in the evaluation for AciCC.

Outcomes after a 3-year follow-up in the pivotal ZUMA-2 study of KTE-X19 in relapsed/refractory MCL are reported, including for subgroups by prior therapy (bendamustine and type of Bruton tyrosine kinase inhibitor [BTKi]) or high-risk characteristics.
Methods: Patients with relapsed/refractory MCL (one to five prior therapies, including prior BTKi exposure) received a single infusion of KTE-X19 (2 × 10 CAR T cells/kg).

Background And Objectives: The goal of this work was to determine whether locally acting ACE-083 is safe and well tolerated and increases muscle volume, motor function, and quality of life (QoL) in adults with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT) type 1.
Methods: This phase 2 study enrolled adults with CMT1 or CMTX (N = 63). Part 1 was open label and evaluated the safety and tolerability of different dose levels of ACE-083 for use in part 2.

Background: Moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (AD) often requires long-term management with systemic therapies.
Objective: Our objective was to report the safety and efficacy of dupilumab treatment up to 4 years in adults with moderate-to-severe AD and efficacy in a subgroup of patients who transitioned from dupilumab once-weekly (qw) to administration every other week (q2w).
Methods: This interim analysis of the open-label extension study (NCT01949311) evaluated dupilumab 300 mg qw or q2w in adults previously enrolled in dupilumab trials for moderate-to-severe AD.

The past a few decades have seen exponential growth in the field of regenerative medicine. What began as extirpative (complete tissue or organ removal), with little regard to the effects of tissue loss and/or disfigurement, has evolved towards fabricating engineered tissues using personalized living cells (e.g.

One of the pivotal factors that limit the clinical translation of tissue engineering is the inability to create large volume and complex three-dimensional (3D) tissues, mainly due to the lack of long-range mass transport with many current scaffolds. Here we present a simple yet robust sacrificial strategy to create hierarchical and perfusable microchannel networks within versatile scaffolds via the combination of embedded 3D printing (EB3DP), tunable polyelectrolyte complexes (PEC), and casting methods. The sacrificial templates of PEC filaments (diameter from 120 to 500 μm) with arbitrary 3D configurations were fabricated by EB3DP and then incorporated into various castable matrices (e.

The recent, rapid advances in immuno-oncology have revolutionized cancer treatment and spurred further research into tumor biology. Yet, cancer patients respond variably to immunotherapy despite mounting evidence to support its efficacy. Current methods for predicting immunotherapy response are unreliable, as these tests cannot fully account for tumor heterogeneity and microenvironment.

Purpose: The correction of double thoracic (Lenke 2) curves has been associated with higher rates of postoperative shoulder imbalance that may compromise long-term outcomes following spinal deformity correction. A number of methods have been proposed to mitigate this risk, though no accepted standard measurement exists. The purpose of this study is to validate a novel quantitative method of determining the relative curve correction magnitude in double thoracic curves.

Genome-wide association studies (GWASs) of Huntington disease (HD) have identified six DNA maintenance gene loci (among others) as modifiers and implicated a two step-mechanism of pathogenesis: somatic instability of the causative HTT CAG repeat with subsequent triggering of neuronal damage. The largest studies have been limited to HD individuals with a rater-estimated age at motor onset. To capitalize on the wealth of phenotypic data in several large HD natural history studies, we have performed algorithmic prediction by using common motor and cognitive measures to predict age at other disease landmarks as additional phenotypes for GWASs.

We previously demonstrated that a home-based, progressive aerobic walking and resistance exercise program (EXCAP) improved physical and psychological outcomes in patients with cancer. However, older patients have more difficulty adhering to exercise than younger patients.

Background: Results of an earlier retrospective study from our institution suggested that patients with triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) who had preoperative MRI may have had an improved local recurrence rate (LRR) after breast conserving surgery (BCS). We aimed to clarify the impact of preoperative MRI on surgical outcomes in an expanded TNBC cohort treated by BCS in a contemporary era.
Methods: Our study cohort comprised 648 patients with TNBC who underwent BCS between 2009 and 2018.

This pooled analysis from nine clinical trials of ibrutinib in CLL and MCL ( = 1178) evaluated patterns of these AEs. Any grade arthralgia, myalgia, and musculoskeletal pain occurred in 18%, 10%, and 6% of patients, respectively.

Background/purpose: Burning mouth syndrome (BMS) is a chronic condition presenting as intraoral burning or dysesthesia, with a high preponderance in menopausal women. This study aimed to examine the association between somatosensory dysfunction and BMS in premenopausal, early postmenopausal, and late postmenopausal patients, using a standardized Quantitative Sensory Testing (QST) protocol, and to determine the predictive value of thermal or mechanical perception by QST for detecting BMS.
Materials And Methods: An observational case-control study was performed with 36 female participants with BMS (12 premenopausal, 10 early postmenopausal, and 14 late postmenopausal) and 42 age- and sex-matched healthy volunteers (21 premenopausal, 10 early postmenopausal, and 11 late postmenopausal).
