To examine the effect of using Virtual Reality distraction on salivary cortisol levels in children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) during routine dental treatments. A randomized cross-over study was designed and children with a known diagnosis of ASD, between 8 and 15 years of age, requiring routine, non-invasive dental treatments, were recruited. They were divided into 2 groups (group 1 and group 2) and scheduled for dental treatments using conventional behavior management and/or VR distraction techniques in their first and second dental visit, accordingly.

Uterine Fibroids (UF) are the most common (about 70 % cases) benign gynecological smooth muscle tumors of the uterus in women of reproductive age, characterized by abnormal cholesterol, lipoproteins, and triglyceride levels, and are a major public health concern. Despite its high prevalence, this condition remains complex and poorly understood. These tumors are hormone-dependent and hormones and lipid levels are inversely related.

The measurement of micronucleus (MN) in the cytokinesis-block arrested binucleated cells has been extensively used as a biomarker in many radiation biology applications in specific biodosimetry. Following radiation casualties, medical management of exposed individuals begins with triage and biological dosimetry. The cytokinesis blocked micronucleus (CBMN) assay is the alternate for the gold standard dicentric chromosome assay in radiation dose assessment.

Background: Despite cochlear microphonic's potential clinical application, especially in ANSD diagnosis, the optimal parameters to record cochlear microphonics and the effect of various stimulus parameters are not well understood yet, which makes its recording a difficult procedure. The present study was undertaken to determine the effect of stimulus polarity, rate, stimulus type, and stimulus frequency on different aspects of cochlear microphonics, which could help to decide an optimal stimulus parameter that can be used to record CM.
Methods: The study involved 32 normal-hearing adults.

Computed tomographic (CT) coronary artery angiography with calcium scoring is crucial in suspecting coronary artery disease (CAD). The routine protocol for CAD radiological investigation involves a precontrast series for calcium scoring and a postcontrast series for investigating structural changes in coronary arteries. This review intends to investigate the feasibility of virtual noncontrast images to replace the true noncontrast (TNC) images in coronary artery calcium scoring to decrease the radiation dose.

The growing concerns regarding the depletion of fossil fuels, CO emissions, and the effects of climate change prompt the usage of plug-in electric vehicles (PHEVs) all over the world in a big way. The increased electrical demand brought on by the charging of electric vehicles puts a burden on the distribution network parameters like energy loss, voltage profile and thermal limits. Recently, renewable energy-based distribution generation (RDGs) units are firmly integrated with the transmission and distribution system networks to lower the carbon footprint generated due to conventional thermal power plants.
