Introduction: The accurate incidence of different cardiovascular consequences of COVID-19 in the pediatric population has been inadequately defined due to ongoing genotype changes in the virus. Although COVID-19 is known to increase inflammatory markers associated with atrial arrhythmias, the contemporary literature has poorly described new onset arrhythmias as a complication in previously healthy neonates with COVID-19.
Case Presentation: A twenty-day-old female term neonate, born by caesarean section with immediate cry, developed labored breathing, cyanosis, and tachycardia after having close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19.

Laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR) can be defined as the regurgitation of gastric acid and peptic substances into the laryngeal and hypopharyngeal regions, even in the case of a singular occurrence. A substantial body of recent research underscores the significance of non-acid reflux as a notable contributor to LPR symptoms. This current investigation delves into the assessment of laryngoscopic observations in their predictive capacity regarding the therapeutic outcomes of empirically administered proton pump inhibitor (PPI) therapy in the context of LPR.

Background: More and more cases of myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) antibody are being diagnosed with the availability of laboratory tests helping us to know the differing patterns from AQP-4 antibody disease and we need to understand the natural course, treatment, and prognosis in a better way.
Objectives: Neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) and anti-MOG syndromes are immune-mediated inflammatory demyelinating conditions of the central nervous system (CNS) that mainly involve the optic nerves and the spinal cord. We conducted this study to compare demographic, clinical, laboratory, and radiological features of AQP-4 antibody and MOG antibody positive patients.

The incidence of oral cancer has risen in the past decades and is usually recognised when symptomatic and at a late stage. A premalignant lesion is like smoldering volcano, which if not taken care of, may erupt, often with disastrous consequences. Early detection is therefore very important to reduce morbidity and mortality.

Background: CHA2DS2-VASc score, used for atrial fibrillation to assess the risk of embolic complications, have shown to predict adverse clinical outcomes in acute coronary syndrome (ACS), irrespective of atrial fibrillation. This study envisaged to assess the predictive role of CHA2DS2-VASc score for contrast-induced nephropathy (CIN) in patients with ACS undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
Methods: A total of 300 consecutive patients with ACS undergoing PCI were enrolled in this study.

The chronome of lipid peroxidation and anti-oxidant defense mechanisms may relate to the efficacy and management of time qualified preventive therapeutic and dietary interventions. One hundred renal stone patients, 20-60 years of age, and 50 clinically healthy volunteers, 21-45 years, were synchronized for 1 week with diurnal activity from 06:00 to 22:00 and nocturnal rest. All subjects took their usual meals three times daily (breakfast around 08:30, lunch around 13:00, and dinner around 20:30) with usual fluid intake.

Circadian periodicity of plasma lipid peroxides and serum ascorbic acid and uric acid levels were studied in one hundred renal stone formers (55 women and 45 men; age 20-60 years) and 50 clinically healthy volunteers (21 women and 29 men; age 21-45 years) with diurnal activity from 06:00 to 22:00 and nocturnal rest. A marked circadian variation was demonstrated by population-mean-cosinor for all studied variables in stone formers and healthy subjects. By comparison to the healthy controls, parameter tests indicate that the stone formers had a higher MESOR (±SE) of MDA (2.
