This comprehensive analysis explores the rheological parameters and texture profile analysis (TPA) to effect starch solutions for mucoadhesion and assess the impact of micro-nanofibers (MNFs) on these parameters. The surface chemistry of all six samples was examined through the Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) technique. The spectrum of FTIR was recorded in the range of 500-4000 cm.

This paper presents a novel robust output feedback control that simultaneously performs both stabilization and trajectory tracking for a class of underactuated nonholonomic systems despite model uncertainties, external disturbance, and the absence of velocity measurement. To solve this challenging problem, a generalized normal form has been successfully created by employing an input-output feedback linearization approach and a change in coordinates (diffeomorphism). This research mainly focuses on the stabilization problem of nonholonomic systems that can be transformed to a normal form and pose several challenges, including (i) a nontriangular normal form, (ii) the internal dynamics of the system are non-affine in control, and (iii) the zero dynamics of the system are not in minimum phase.

Background: Cellulase is an important bioprocessing enzyme used in various industries. This study was conducted with the aim of improving the biodegradation activity of cellulase obtained from the Bacillus subtilis AG-PQ strain. For this purpose, AgO and FeO NPs were fabricated using AgNO and FeSO·7HO salt respectively through a hydro-thermal method based on five major steps; selection of research-grade materials, optimization of temperature, pH, centrifuge, sample washed with distilled water, dry completely in the oven at the optimized temperature and finally ground for characterization.

Performance evaluation of drilling fluids is essential for a successful drilling project, as they not only remove drill cuttings but also prevent undesired penetration or outflow of formation fluids by sealing off wellbore walls. However, concerns have been raised about the use of chemical additives in drilling fluids due to their toxicity and non-biodegradability. To this end, agricultural waste materials are recognized as a promising alternative as they are cost-effective, environmentally sustainable, and can be used as a substitute for lost circulation materials.

Semiconductor materials show a restricted degradation response to organic pollutants due to limited photocatalytic activity under visible light. Therefore, researchers have devoted much attention to novel and effective nanocomposite materials. For the first time, herein, a novel nano-sized semiconductor calcium ferrite modified by carbon quantum dots (CaFeO/CQDs) photocatalyst is fabricated simple hydrothermal treatment for the degradation of aromatic dye using a visible light source.

Wireless sensor networks (WSN) are commonly used in remote environments for monitoring and sensing. These devices are typically powered by batteries, the performance of which varies depending on environmental (such as temperature and humidity) as well as operational conditions (discharge rate and state-of-charge, SOC). As a result, assessing their technical viability for WSN applications requires performance evaluation based on the aforementioned stimuli.

Efficient transformation in characteristics of cations supported-reduced graphene oxide nanocomposites for the destruction of trichloroethane.

Appl Catal A Gen

August 2017

State Environmental Protection Key Laboratory of Environmental Risk Assessment and Control on Chemical Process, East China University of Science and Technology, Shanghai 200237, China.

Experiments were conducted to investigate the use of graphene-oxide supported metallic nanocomposites for improving the degradation of trichloroethane (TCA) by sodium percarbonate (SPC). Two methods of production, chemical reduction (CR) and solvo-thermal (ST), were tested for preparation of single (Fe) and binary (Fe-Cu) nanocomposites supported by reduced graphene oxide (rGO). A variety of analytical techniques including N2 adsorption Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET), x-ray diffraction (XRD), fourier-transfrom infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and transmisison electron microscopy (TEM) were applied to characterize the physicochemical and microstructural properties of the synthesized nanocomposites.
