All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (Gynecologic Oncology), Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, India. Electronic address:

Objective: To isolate and quantify cell-free DNA, analysis for p53 mutations, and correlation with tumor burden in women with epithelial ovarian cancer compared with benign and borderline epithelial ovarian tumors.

Methods: In this case-control study, plasma samples of eligible women collected 1 hour before surgery and based on final histopathology, women with epithelial ovarian cancer recruited as cases and borderline, and benign ovarian tumors as controls. Cell-free DNA extracted from plasma serum and quantified using Nanodrop Spectrophotometer.

Introduction: Parkinson's disease (PD) is primarily driven by the protein Alpha Synuclein (A-Syn) accumulation. Synphilin-1 protein, encoded by the SNCAIP gene, which co-localizes with A-Syn is a known risk factor for PD. Retinitis pigmentosa (RP), is a cluster of retinal degenerative disorders, and Cyclic Nucleotide Gated channel subunit Alpha 1 (CNGA1) is one of the initial genes associated with RP.

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is considered the result of the cumulative effect of multiple mutations within the cell that allow it to escape growth control and regulatory mechanisms. EGFR overexpression has been suggested as a factor of poor prognosis in various cancers. β-catenin plays a role in the Wnt signaling pathway of colorectal cancers.

Background: Ultrasonographic estimation of gestational age is done routinely by using fetal biometric parameters, such as the biparietal diameter (BPD), femur length (FL), abdominal circumference (AC), and head circumference (HC). Gestational dating by ultrasound is reliable in the 1st trimester, but discrepancies increase to more than 3 weeks in the 3rd trimester.

Aims And Objectives: To study the accuracy of gestational age estimation by the transcerebellar diameter (TCD) in the 3rd trimester of singleton pregnancies whose gestational age is known.

We share our experience with a 55-year-old postmenopausal lady with unusually high CA19-9 levels arising from a benign mucinous cystadenoma of the ovary. The levels returned to normal eight weeks following staging laparotomy and a total abdominal hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oopherectomy.
