Aim: The study is aimed at examining of action of iron, DOX, and their complex on the Mitochondrial Permeability Transition Pore (MPTP) opening and detecting of possible protectors of MPTP in the conditions close to mitochondria-dependent ferroptosis.
Background: The Toxicity of Doxorubicin (DOX) is mainly associated with free iron accumulation and mitochondrial dysfunction. DOX can provoke ferroptosis, iron-dependent cell death driven by membrane damage.

Purpose Of Review: Despite being a pressing problem, the influence of urbanization on mental health is still underestimated in Russia. Although few studies on the topic in recent years were available, viewpoints of the expert community in Russia will be presented. Intensive urbanization impacts on the living conditions of the majority of the country's population being associated with mass migration of the population, a change in the structure of employment, the restructuring of family relations, and the need to adapt to unaccustomed living conditions.

The article describes the current state of scientific publications in the field of psychiatry in the Russian Federation. Issues of academic dissertations, lack of access to recent Russian language research in foreign databases, and recent reforms in the Ministry of Education and Science for overcoming these limitations are discussed in detail. Four exemplary dissertation studies published in Russian language are summarized.

Synthesis and X-ray diffraction study of cationic bischelates MeSi(SCH(2)CONMe(2))(2)(+)Cl(-) and MeGe(SCH(2)CONMe(2))(2)(+)Br(-) are reported. According to X-ray data, the Si and Ge atoms in these compounds have distorted TBP environments with two coordinating oxygen atoms in axial positions.
