Background: Non-immunogenic staphylokinase is a modified recombinant staphylokinase with low immunogenicity, high thrombolytic activity, and fibrin selectivity.
Objectives: To assess the safety and efficacy of a single intravenous bolus of non-immunogenic staphylokinase compared with those of alteplase in patients with massive pulmonary embolism and hemodynamic instability.
Methods: A randomized, open-label, multicenter, parallel-group, non-inferiority trial, the FORPE (FORtelyzin Pulmionary Embolism), was conducted in Russia.
In experiments on male Wistar rats, the stages of adaptive changes in the rhythm of periodic electrical activity in the small intestine during food deprivation were identified and the effect of GABA on changes of the rhythm under these conditions was assessed. It was found that on days 1-3 of food deprivation, the migrating myoelectric complex (MMC) in the small intestine is preserved, but the cycle becomes rarer. On days 4-6, MMC disappears, irregular and regular activity with no periods of quiescence is recorded.

Background: The aim was to study functional recovery in experimental animals (rabbits) with transected spinal cords treated with a combination of photo-cross-linked chitosan in a homogeneous mixture with polyethylene glycol (PEG-chitosan).

We present a 27-year-old man with a 2-year history of extrahepatic portal vein obstruction and selective immunoglobulin A deficiency, referred for acute cholangitis from portal cavernoma cholangiopathy (PCC). Because recurrent cholangitis rapidly led to liver failure, orthotopic liver transplantation (OLT) was successfully performed. To date, this is one of the few cases of patients with symptomatic PCC who required OLT and the first case who had a successful 6-year follow-up.

We reviewed 50 corpse examinations of those who died from a traumatic brain injury with diffuse axonal brain damage. A retrospective analysis of the results of expert examinations, the structure of the post-mortem forensic diagnosis, and the validity of expert conclusions showed that expert errors were made in 30% of cases.
