The efficiency of treatment of diffuse stomach cancer can be improved by using a complex phytoadaptogen. In groups receiving phytoadaptogen, the level of tumor marker CA 19-9 decreased and the mean life span of patients increased by 2.5 times.

Serum level of soluble HER2/neu in patients with tumors characterized by high expression of this protein (2+/3+ according to immunohistochemical analysis) was significantly higher than in patients with low expression of HER2/neu and in women with benign diseases of the mammary glands. The level of HER2/neu in the serum decreased after removal of the primary tumor in the majority of patients.

Experiments on female (CBAxC57Bl/6)F1 mice with simultaneously transplanted Ehrlich carcinoma and B16 melanoma showed that removal of one of the primary nodes led to metastasizing of the removed tumor alone. It seems that this specificity of the inhibitory effect of the primary tumor can be explained by peculiarities of glycosylation and subsequent complex formation of serum proteins with the tumor.

Binding of FITC-labeled lectins to lymphocytes from intact mice and mice with transplanted Ehrlich carcinoma and CaO-1 ovarian carcinoma was studied by flow cytofluorometry. Specific binding of lectins by mannose and N-acetylgalactosamine was demonstrated. Lectin binding to lymphocytes from animals with tumors decreased by more than 50% in comparison with intact animals.

The number of cambial cells in morphofunctional zone of a malignant tumor is reduced at least 2-fold. Hence, the number of maternal cells is reduced to 6, which is insufficient for electric field generation and stimulation of daughter cells differentiation.
