Introduction: Sarcomas are rare cancers and very heterogeneous in their location, histological subtype, and treatment. Health-Related Quality of Life (HRQoL) of sarcoma patients has rarely been investigated in longitudinal studies.

Methods: Here, we assessed adult sarcoma patients and survivors between September 2017 and February 2020, and followed-up for one year in 39 study centers in Germany.

Interpreting the Relationship Among Itch, Sleep, and Work Productivity in Patients with Moderate-to-Severe Atopic Dermatitis: A Post Hoc Analysis of JADE MONO-2.

Background: Abrocitinib, an oral, once-daily Janus kinase 1-selective inhibitor, improved itch severity, sleep, and work productivity versus placebo in patients with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis.

Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate relationships among itch, sleep, and work productivity in the phase III JADE MONO-2 clinical trial.

Methods: A repeated-measures longitudinal model was used to examine relationships between itch (using the Peak Pruritus Numerical Rating Scale [PP-NRS] or Nighttime Itch Scale [NTIS]) and sleep disturbance/loss (using the Patient-Oriented Eczema Measure sleep item and SCORing AD Sleep Loss Visual Analog Scale) and, separately, between itch and work productivity (using the Work Productivity and Activity Impairment-Atopic Dermatitis Version 2.

Introduction: In breast cancer patients, menopausal symptoms are often reached earlier and in a more severe manner than in healthy women. They can dramatically reduce a patient's quality of life. Treatment for breast cancer patients remains difficult due to hormone replacement therapy being contraindicated.

Objective: This study aimed to characterize Sox-2 in sentinel lymph nodes and randomly obtained lymph nodes from endometriosis (EM) patients for the first time.

Study Design: This prospective study analyzed tissue samples from surgical specimens collected from May until December 2007 in the Endometriosis Center Charité, Berlin. Lymph node samples from 38 women aged between 22 and 49 years who underwent laparoscopy due to symptomatic EM were analyzed.

CAR T cells as micropharmacies against solid cancers: Combining effector T-cell mediated cell death with vascular targeting in a one-step engineering process.

To enhance the potency of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) engineered T cells in solid cancers, we designed a novel cell-based combination strategy with an additional therapeutic mode of action. CAR T cells are used as micropharmacies to produce a targeted pro-coagulatory fusion protein, truncated tissue factor (tTF)-NGR, which exerts pro-coagulatory activity and hypoxia upon relocalization to the vascular endothelial cells that invade tumor tissues. Delivery by CAR T cells aimed to induce locoregional tumor vascular infarction for combined immune-mediated and hypoxic tumor cell death.

Sarcoma Research with Cancer Registry Data: Data and Peculiarities of Germany in the Light of Other Countries.

Introduction: Sarcomas are documented in population-based and in clinic-associated databases. This study evaluated the status quo regarding the potential and obstacles of cancer registry-based research on sarcomas exemplified by Germany in comparison to similar databases in the US and Europe. Completeness and quality of data are discussed based on statistical analyses of a pooled data set established for the German Cancer Congress 2020.

Interdependence of SS18-SSX-driven YAP1 and β-Catenin Activation in Synovial Sarcoma.
