Background: Innovation in crop establishment is crucial for wheat productivity in drought-prone climates. Seedling establishment, the first stage of crop productivity, relies heavily on root and coleoptile system architecture for effective soil water and nutrient acquisition, particularly in regions practicing deep planting. Root phenotyping methods that quickly determine coleoptile lengths are vital for breeding studies.

The skull structure in vertebrates is closely related to feeding mode. This study examines the relationship between the cranial joint morphology variation among different lizard species [ (Daudin, 1802), (Nordmann, 1840), and (Başoğlu & Hellmich 1968)] and their feeding habit. This study investigates the cranial anatomical correlates of distinct cranial kinesis models.

The pancreas, previously considered a sterile organ, has recently been shown to harbor its own microbiota that may influence tumor biology and patient outcomes. Despite increasing interest in the impact of the microbiome on cancer, the relationship between pancreatic tissue and oral microbiomes in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) remains limited. In this study, the oral and pancreas tissue microbiomes of patients with PDAC were compared to patients with other periampullary cancers (DC/AC) and a healthy control group using 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis.

Cardiovascular complications resulting from cisplatin (CS) are a significant factor that can disrupt the treatment plan associated with this chemotherapy. This information led us to investigate the effectiveness of lutein (LT), which has antioxidant effects, in preventing CS-induced cardiotoxic effects. After 28 rats were randomly divided into four equal groups, saline (1ml/day) was administered to the control group, LT (100mg/kg/day) to the LT group, CS (10mg/kg) to the CS group, and active agents in the LT and CS groups were administered to the CS + LT group in the same dose and manner.
