Spirocyclic alkyl amino carbene (SCAAC) Ru complexes demonstrate outstanding activity and selectivity in ethenolysis of methyl oleate (MO) or fatty acid methyl esters (FAMEs), and 5,6-dimethoxyindane derivative was the most active catalyst to date. For the further catalyst design, we proposed modifying the spirocyclic fragment by fusion of saturated carbo- or heterocycle, linked to the 5,6-positions of indane or 6,7- positions of tetralin. Another suggested way of the modification of SCAAC complex was the insertion of chromane fragment to the carbene ligand.

Given the ubiquitous nature of love, numerous theories have been proposed to explain its existence. One such theory refers to love as a commitment device, suggesting that romantic love evolved to foster commitment between partners and enhance their reproductive success. In the present study, we investigated this hypothesis using a large-scale sample of 86,310 individual responses collected across 90 countries.

We report on the synthesis of MgMnCoNiCuTeO, which is isostructural with multiferroic MnTeO (space group ). Study of its magnetic properties indicates establishment of the long-range antiferromagnetic order at 16.3 K, slightly lower than that of pure MnTeO.

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are a leading health and development challenge worldwide. Since 2015, WHO and the United Nations Development Programme have provided support to governments to develop national NCD investment cases to describe the socioeconomic dimensions of NCDs. To assess the impact of the investment cases, semistructured interviews and a structured process for gathering written feedback were conducted between July and October 2022 with key informants in 13 countries who had developed a national NCD investment case between 2015 and 2020.

Microsurgical excision of a ruptured distal lenticulostriate aneurysm in a child.

Distal lenticulostriate artery aneurysms are rare but potentially fatal conditions, especially in children. Endovascular management is often considered the first-line treatment, but microsurgical excision may be necessary in certain cases. This article presents a case report of a child with a ruptured distal lenticulostriate artery aneurysm that required careful decision making and preparation before microsurgical excision.

Dupilumab for relapsing or refractory sinonasal and/or asthma manifestations in eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis: a European retrospective study.

Background: Eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA) is often associated with glucocorticoid-dependent asthma and/or ear, nose and throat (ENT) manifestations. When immunosuppressants and/or mepolizumab are ineffective, dupilumab could be an option. We describe the safety and efficacy of off-label use of dupilumab in relapsing and/or refractory EGPA.

Background: eHealth offers opportunities to improve health and healthcare systems and overcome primary care challenges in low-resource settings (LRS). LRS has been typically associated with low- and middle-income countries (LMIC), but they can be found in high-income countries (HIC) when human, physical or financial resources are constrained. Adopting a concept of LRS that applies to LMIC and HIC can facilitate knowledge interchange between eHealth initiatives while improving healthcare provision for socioeconomically disadvantaged groups across the globe.

Background: Penile cancer is a rare but often lethal tumour disease, especially in the metastatic stage. Most data on prognostic factors for penile cancer are based on small patient cohorts, and even meta-analyses are mostly limited in terms of patient numbers. Introduction: The objective of this study was to develop a radiofrequency ablation technique to create a homogeneous scar tissue in the atrial myocardium.

Methods: In the double-blinded morphological stage of the study, the left atrial appendage was used as an anatomical model to investigate the efficacy of one experimental and two conventional techniques to create ablation lines. Then, these lines were studied by morphologists.

Missing data and other challenges in assessing inappropriate marketing of baby foods in the Russian Federation: a cross-sectional study.

Objectives: We used the WHO draft nutrient profile model (NPM) to evaluate baby foods targeted at infants and young children (IYC) aged 6-36 months in the Russian Federation to assess their suitability for marketing.

Design: A cross-sectional study in Moscow (Russian Federation).

Setting: Nutrition information of baby food was primarily collected from retailer websites, with some complementary data from physical stores.

Objective: To perform a network meta-analysis of randomised controlled trials of different surfactant treatment strategies for respiratory distress syndrome (RDS) to assess if a certain fraction of inspired oxygen (FiO) is optimal for selective surfactant therapy.

Design: Systematic review and network meta-analysis using Bayesian analysis of randomised trials of prophylactic versus selective surfactant for RDS.
